Testing out all the styles above to see which matches best...I'm currently trying my hand at scales. I like how its going, but I think the neck spikes might be tricky to get to look right. I need to figure out a way to make the neck horn/spikes separate away from the scales. I see how I can do it in my head, but I have to try it first xD

Its not finished as these scales will be rendered again, lineart'd, fixed and then have them pointing off the sides. I wanted the scales to look naturally, twisted...if that makes sense? I don't think dragons would have perfect sized scales running down its body, but sometimes overlapping and whatnot :D

What do you guys think? Scales and talons of the dragons have to be the hardest part for me. This is the first time I made scales that I actually liked...if you have any help/suggestions or tutorials, I would really love to read them! :3
