I would like to see somebody make a visual novel/survival game where the protagonist really hates himself for some reason, yet he goes through the process of uploading his mind to a computer to see what it would do without him. (You see where I'm going with this yet...?)
Anyways, the mind uploading goes simple enough, his C-mind is confined to a simulation of the real world that is set up based on memories. Things go haywire when his C-mind becomes self-aware of the situation and decides to turn against his physical being. Escaping onto the world wide web, his mind tortures him by spreading rumors that make people want to kill him and feds want to lock him up. The C-mind also spreads into his remotely-accessed electronics such as his home security system, his car, etc...
One scene in the game would be the C-mind locks the guy in his garage with the intent to kill him with car exhaust fumes, the player would have to find different means to exit the garage. (Don't sit in the car and try to control it, its helpless...)
Now that I think about it, it would probably work out better as a movie, nevertheless it would be interesting to see how a game (or book) of this type would turn out. I don't want to develop it but if anybody else was to steal this idea, I would be more than happy :D
