Why do so many JRPG's feel the need to harp on about GROBAR WALMING even when it has nothing to do with the set-up for the plot (looking at you, Vesperia)?
Look, guys. I get that Final Fantasy VII was the greatest game ever, the cure for prostate cancer, the Elixir of Life and a bunch of other exaggerations that I don't really believe; and I get that writers and developers always follow the leader when a shiny, happy new idea comes out but... it's been fifteen years. You can't keep playing with Uncle Squeenix's toys forever. You're big boys now and the neighbours are starting to give you funny looks.
