ESPECIALLY IN THE BEGINNING i want to be running out of the gate to explore and do. fallout 3 interwove the tutorial into the story and gameplay perfectly by showing the character growing up as a way to familiarize the player with the world and its mechanics. trust me i'm a mad scientist.
