I enjoyed the demo, I have included my impressions in the spoiler so as not to reveal you plot and such.

In the opening sequence, images would speak loader than words and I like how you draw. There's innocent quality to it and for goodness sake you use realistic body types - thank you. I just wish there was more of it instead of the black screen with text.

In the part after Aden puts on the ring... there does not seem to be much effect to it. As to say, Aden states the next morning he could not stop thinking about the ring... and the thought comes to mind why and how? Sleep occurrence was a few second. This was a good place for some black screen and some text even just a suspensful sound effect instead of the normal sleep sound. Something forbidding to give a glimpse into what the ring does exactly or how its affecting Aden's mind without revealing too much.

A little more handholding in the early, unless i did everything. Got a point were I was wandering trying to steal the old fisherman boat.

Overall, still enjoyed what you have so far.
