I am constantly getting scam calls, and with AT&T's home phone rules, you have to PAY to block numbers.
So every time I get scam calls, I play a song for them.
Sometimes it's a goofy Stevie T song, others it's a random death metal song.
Today's is this:
But honestly, I wish I didn't have to keep doing this.
Why does AT&T make you pay to block numbers?
And how do I keep getting put on these call lists?
I can field these calls, sure, but I have actual calls with actual important things going on for my mother, and when I get a call saying they're ______, and they wanna talk to my mom, I immediately look up their usually-bogus company name.
I've gotten fake pharmacies calling, fake car loan dealers, fake diabetic supply dealers, fake doctors (Seriously), and it's honestly getting ridiculous at the rate I get calls.
There's even a number that has tried like 10 different scams with the same phone number-- that of a defunct furniture store.
Does anybody know what I can do about this? I can't pay to block the calls, so is there somewhere to report this stuff, or do I just keep fielding the calls with random metal and death metal? I can totally do that...
