What's on your mind?

So... A few days ago, I asked my dad to look at the RAM of my old laptop to figure out what type of RAM I need to expand it. When he put the RAM, that was already in the Laptop, back in, the laptop seems to be faster, as if he had some kind of magic hands or something. Before I asked him to take a look at the RAM, it was running on 1.45GB RAM (The RAM is a 2GB). Now it's running the full 2GB RAM. Huh. I'm gonna need more RAM if I'm going to install a 64-Bit version of Windows 10 on the laptop though. The Processor is x64-based, as stated by the System Properties on the laptop.
