China's Navy is Massing in the South China Sea

In no uncertain terms, the cabinet of Philippine President Duterte spoke of China's conduct, calling the presence of boats an unwelcome stain that risked unwanted hostilities.

We can negotiate on matters of mutual concern and benefit, but make no mistake about it - our sovereignty is non-negotiable.

We will not give up even a single inch of our national territory or our exclusive economic zone.

Make no mistake, they appear to be massing.  And others are watching.

Under the long-standing Taiwan Relations Act, the U.S. has a committment to make sure Taiwan has the ability to defend itself and keep peace in the Pacific.

And all I can tell you is it would be a serious mistake for anyone to try to change the existing status quo by force.

For those that do not recall history, the original National Government of China took refuge in Taiwan after WWII after losing control of the mainland to the Communist Party during the Chinese Civil War.
