This game is more promising than over half of the underbaked slop that comes out of the engine these days so you're doing just fine!
Maybe it's not the best pixel art but its YOUR OWN PIXEL ART and that degree custom work makes your game look truly unique amongst all these rtp shilling monstrositires. it's a refreshing and colorful twist. If you'd shown me this I'd have no idea what engine it was made in due to it being visually distinct and consistent.
keep doing stuff like this and you'll be well ahead of the majority of the chaff very quickly.
