London riots? I remember it being all across the country.
I also believe it was a fluke that it happened and the people who did it were dealt with quickly and decisively.
99.9% of the country was horrified at what happened.

Anyway, yes. Every country has its issues. America definitely scares me more than the UK, but right now the UK has its own issues too. Our leaders are, once again, tearing about our public services and selling them off to private companies (notably ones they own or have financial investment in... GAH!). Every new "reform" is just a way to make the few rich and the many pay.
The NHS is the foundation of our country's power, and in my view, pride. We're one of the few in the World who will treat you no matter who you are, no matter where you are from. I don't think that should change, ever. The right wing leaders right now disagree. They're even trying to privatise our fire service. I can't imagine how they're going to get away with this, but they'll do it anyway.
