I figured I might as well introduce some of the leaders of the more "Official" resistance to King Karula's rule.
There are a lot of small fringe groups acting on their own, but the leaders of kingdoms and the alliances that were formed should be talked about as well. They do own land, after all
Mala Devalios, the Duke of Rumari, is a former 5-year champion of the Mith Colosseum. He fights with his fists, and had unintentionally killed many of his opponents in Colosseum battles. He was banned from competing in the Colosseum after he killed another competitor before their battle began. The person had attacked him, and his counterpunch was fatal. The Colosseum managers saw how angry he was, and figured it was on purpose, and thus he was banned for life.
He wears a vest and no shoes. His genealogy is not clear, and he is an orphan who was never adopted by a family.
After being banned from the Colosseum, he devoted his time to helping the Rumari people, gaining favor and respect among them. He broke up crime rings on his own, and despite his fearsome disposition, he seems to have a soft spot for the people.
When he rose his banner against the Karula Kingdom, due to the commanding respect among the people, Devalios had a large territory spanning from Siva to Ocu Lake. However, his leadership of the Northwestern branch of the rebellion against the Karula Kingdom was short-lived; Devalios made a deal with Karula to stay the Duke of Rumari in exchange for his military support and keeping some of his land. The negotiated land that was kept included the Rumari shipyard in Leeg, making his alliance invaluable to the Karula Kingdom.
