Hey, everyone!

I’m Rune, but a lot of people also know me as Xiie! I’ve spent a good chunk of time messing around in Unity during COVID days (where internet connection was scarce for me), but now I’m crawling back to RPG Maker—because, I still haven’t finished a game and I really miss hanging out in forums. This time’s gonna be different… probably? It’s been on my bucket list forever, so I’m finally making myself see it through.

I’m also a close friend of Remi-chan and have been working alongside her for years, which means I’ve definitely lost more sleep over game dev than I care to admit. Besides making games, I love all things art. I do pixel art, graphic design, concept art, UI/UX design, VFX, 3D, and even shader graphs/technical art. Basically, if it’s creative, I’m all over it.

Anyway, looking forward to hanging out, sharing progress, and watching everyone else actually finish their projects while I try to break my curse. 😆

If you aren't losing sleep over it then are you really able to call yourself a gamedev? We live to suffer, so suffer we shall, for our art, for our craft, but also-- for the meme.

I have definitely lost sleep over you and your silly antics as well! I think its like a law or something, where if you aren't losing sleep over a friend then you probably aren't actually friends?? I dunno, I read it on a mural in the space station 14 disco bar.

Xiie was one of the people who really helped me with my own art, she alongside Pjcr also introduced me to Paint Tool SAI which I still am using to this day.

To be fair, people actually finishing their projects is a rare feat of strength. I know several members here who still don't have a single released game to their name. Some haven't even managed demos! I guess not everyone can be cool like me and Starmage.

In other words, the curse is more common than you may think! And you at least have something of an excuse.

I mean, you have the undesirable position of working for my goofy ass- which can be rather time-consuming and sleep-depriving even if I don't intend it to be that way!

if given the option, I will usually always hire people from SEA (South East Asia) for one simple reason.

The work ethic of you crazy motherfuckers is actually insane. You and Pjcr have created so much stuff and in such decent quality I always feel bad I can't pay you more, but alas- 'tis my budget and if I pay too much over what I can manage then I lose my place to live and then we all lose!

I don't make any of that money back, my games are free-- and probably always will be.

Of all the things that will be difficult to handle, Xiie doing some stuff in a slightly outside-our-standard engine is hardly what you need be concerned about.

This is Xiie, basically my second in command and potentially even more of a chaos gremlin than I. All qualities I fondly regard- ofcourse! But if you thought one of me is bad, just wait until there's two of me but with slightly different move sets and behavior patterns.

You are all so fucking hosed in a way you won't be able to predict or prepare for. Mwehehehehe! >:3
