HOLY SHIT i'm finally back in action. if anybody cares, a new demo should be along in about 48 hours or so. i'm working all day tomorrow (saturday for me) and the next day on getting this dirty bastard up and running!

testing is a third done. i'm not too good at doing things on a schedule, especially when there are a million other things i'd rather be doing.

i need some yes or no feedback on some ideas ive been kicking about. they're not complete ideas, more or less things that i want to work into my game in some fashion.

game idea: 1/1000 evil dove soap. makes you slow with dry skin. activated by talking to the 1000th npc. done with variable "npc chat +1." when variable reaches goal, a bar of soap appears in inventory. can be sold for $100,000. if used, attacks,  and when defeated, yields high exp, and a similar unuseable bar of soap.

three months later, my extended break is over. i've done a lot of writing, a lot of exploring, and a lot more video games than i'd have liked.

BUT

every time I do this, the scope of my story seems to exponentialize. Just having ChargenEX has eclipsed the amount of content i previously planned for. I haven't been working on the ultimate tilesets much either, it's just such a daunting task to undertake.

today, I want to say the next demo will be available in about six weeks. that gives me until October 21st. I think the six month democycles are a lot more doable, and allow for a lot more content to be included.

After that, my tentative finish date is still december 20th. if the end of the world comes, I don't want to have not finished my game. but isn't that some shit though? how much do i suck if it takes the end of the world for me to finish a project.

finally found this song and recut it in fruityloops. cut some stuff out, and changed the instruments around a bit to match the tone of the area it will be used for.

This game looks like it requires a specific comedic taste which I do not share but I have a few friends who DO and it looks like Arbor's Eve is pretty well made so I'll be sharing the thread link. :) Just thought I'd let you know I checked out the project.

i just cut the story off for the newest demo. there's not a lot of new story, but there are some other tweaks and scripts and graphical stuff added in. i'll have a link by Friday
