So late into Mammal March i had an image of Xaela pop into my head, and a recurring theme with Xaela is despite how much i draw her, she always seems to fall short in my HD renders. Well, that stops now!
It was a bit over 8 hours overall which given the end result, is a very good time for me. I had some real hang ups in regards to the background, starting with overstimulated everything before settling for something more simple yet striking. You can see that struggle in the speed draw about mid-way through.
This is easily one of my most well shaded pieces, even if in some small amount the lighting is a little inconsistent due to there not being a directly evident visual light source beyond the sunrays coming from above which are eclipsed by the planet- the implication being its just another world Xaela has corrupted entirely into an extension of her already insanely massive army.
What I really like about Xaela in this piece is her clear laser focus and her expression... I mean look at it.

She's threading that razor-thin line between anger, curiosity and skepticism. This is a more typical look for the Evil God, she often wears a sinister smile, but it's not her default. She's a torrential bottomless pit of hatred, anger and frustration grown over quadrillions of years of watching the G0Ds fuck up and mortals get their way.
Xaela is scary in that she doesn't immediately give away how angry she is and has been for a very long time. More commonly approaching her subjects with a calm and collected manner of communication, coming off as eccentric and even jovial at times- when in reality, it's only because she's learned to control her emotions that she isn't brutally murdering them on sight.
She is a dangerous omen, meeting her could go fine- or it could go horribly! But it's of note that there are less people who can reasonably oppose Xaela than you have fingers to count on your hands. Two of those are embodiment class beings and the others are insanely powerful outer gods or not even existent yet in the timeline.
