(August 9 to August 15, 2021)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Occasions
This week, we had plenty of reasons to celebrate, mainly due to the number of birthdays that came and went. First this week was the birthday of Charlie Fleed, which was later followed by the birthday belonging to rikert. Later on, Wyatt, arnquist and Olilink1 had slices of birthday cake to share. It didn't take long before sagam12's, chudu05's and Magic Pancake's had passed. . Cake being shared was fine, but it's fun when you can open presents together and that is exactly what Sesshomaru, Pia Carrot, jreagan406 and ShadowTanuki had done. And the last bit of cake this week was enjoyed by lilcooldude69 and HRA.

General Chat
Two of our members were clearly surprised if you asked either DerVVulfman or KDC What's on their mind. For DerVVulfman, relief as a posting he made at the Better Business Bureau pressed AT&T to have a representative call him to apologize and state that he would receive no more billing since our Furball Administrator had left the company months prior. And KDC was in for a surprise shock on discovering his monitor was able to exceed his expected graphics limit whilst his NVidia GPU would be able to support 4K graphics in what was called "Dynamic Super Resolution".

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, DerVVulfman found a new threat beneath the surf if you asked him What are YouTubing?. A humorous faux movie trailer indeed.

This week much of the News of the World would be things we wished didn't occur, whether it was the eruption of Mount Merapi or the disastrous earthquake in Haiti. The US border was confirmed as a crisis by the DHS secretary while the Biden Administration gives new orders to ICE agents on deportation. And there's turmoil in Afghanistan with the departure of the last US troops. Cuomo's exit from public office, China's embelleshed Olympic scores and more is present to read.

Forum Games & Nonsense
DerVVulfman found another humorous pen-and-paper RPG tale, this one entitled SAM “THE DRUID” FISHER. While barely touching upon the title character, Killmaster666 relayed a tale of four against a horde of one hundred goblin foes. The reactions within could be considered priceless, if not a bit messy.

Games Development
Development Discussion
If you wondered about What's up among your fellow RMers, kyonides began working on a new script he initially called KFindingx XP, later changing it to KInquire XP. Essentially, it is a system that can track where important items or information was discovered and what that content may be, a handy system for those wishing to engage in a detective-based story arc. He asked for some suggestions, with DerVVulfman offering one where the information gained could change based on circumstances. While the system doesn't have a feature to have those predefined, kyonides did suggest that script calls could be used to change the material or add new case pages.

Upcoming Projects
Just over two months ago, Ti-Max presented to us the game he was laboring upon, a thriller involving a boy's nightmares come to life. But now, you too will be able to engage in the upcoming thriller known as Creas. By this upcoming Friday, the first act will be available on Steam and Itch.io for CA $5.69 (USD 5 or €3.99). New Steam features, the ability to play it on Linux and more is present for your reading pleasure.

Material Development
Scripts Database
Kyonides put out a simple RPGMaker XP scriptette ne named KSickItem XP which would let you set up a variety of poisonous items to affect the players. Unlike others, this doesn't assume you're poisoned/cursed items are armor or weapons. He quickly updated the script a few times, and gave notice to the users.

For those keen on solving problems, discovering items that can be used in a game's private mystery of sorts, the KInquire XP by kyondes would come in handy. With the system he designed, you can keep track of informants and their information, or where the clue to a murder may have been found. Since its inception, he had modified the GUI, and later added what he called a 'fake time' system.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
You can tell that Eric continues to Share his Original Music and Sound FX, as he posted two new pieces, both quirky in their own rights. DerVVulfman felt reminded of old campy 80's music videos upon hearing them.

Well, that's it for this week.
