(January 3 to January 9, 2021)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
With a new year just starting, Gintas joined our community to learn much in game making. Greeted he was by DerVVulfman, and relayed that his talents were in graphics and character design while working on his game. When learning what type of game he was working on, kyonides winced at the thought of the game being like Naruto or Bleach. Fortunately, Gintas says it's modeled more on other fantasy-styled anime.

While it is true that Pie is Fly, you just have to love a good slice of Birthday cake and this week there was plenty of cake going around. This week started off as zenochrome got to eat some of his annual birthday confectionary. However, cake became thinly sliced when xurot and kindlegames both had their parties. Bakeries were fortunately not empty by the time Vileo Sufora showed up, the supply trucks with flour and sugar having appeared for their weekly visit. After that, Legal Luke enjoyed his icing covered confectionaries. Later on, lade-agems had a slice of birthday cake to enjoy. And finally, the birthdays of vgvg's and newgammer1991's saw cake a plenty.

General Chat
When the week began anew, Snow was What's on the mind of DerVVulfman, a week late in his opinion. But for MetalRenard, all he saw was rain and thoughts of pit-stops on his week-long journey to his new home in Strasbourg.

Material Development
Scripts Database
Over a decade ago, a script was crafted by Vinardo to allow keyboard input when entering the names of the heroes. After all this time, DerVVulfman took the task to perform a rewrite and release the Keyboard Name Input - Updated script.

Swapping skills between actors and enemies, their attributes and much more is something that can really wreck a player's fight against a tough foe. Regularly impossible, but with KSwap XP by kyonides, the impossible has become possible.

Script Requests
Syddo had encountered difficulties trying to Erase Spawned Events made with an RPGMaker XP port of Yanfly's Spawn Event script. DerVVulfman examined the script, finding it pretty compact and basic, and noted how one can erase events with the script and its apparent drawbacks.

Resources Database
It appears that DerVVulfman has gone from scripter to spriter, having once again returned to the HALF KAISER BATTLER PROJECT. He continued with meticulous edits of his kimono spritesheet, and later posted three other color variants. But not long after that, he released the kimono's accompanying obi, or belt sash, in a variety of styles and colors. But as a sash, the Half Kaiser Battler project now has a new Accessories page for filling.

Music and Audio
With the start of a new year, Eric Matyas thanked everyone for their support while he Shares his Original Music. In celebration,he released two pieces of music, one a main menu piece with an ancient sound, and a futuristic sounding loop he felt would be fine for a puzzle minigame.

Well, that's it for this week.
