(March 7 to March 13, 2021)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Feedback and Suggestions
kyonides stated he wished there was a Dark Theme for SavePoint, something different than the traditional royal purple.

Occasions
This week, we were greeted by Benehrethgir, a game developer and both writer and artist who is working upon a game based upon Shakespeare's classic comedy, "A Midsummer's Night's Dream". It gave DerVVulfman a chuckle, one shared between the two when he suggested a comical interpretation of Oberon that Benehrethgir appreciated.

This week, we had plenty of reasons to celebrate, mainly due to the number of birthdays that came every day. First this week, week were the birthdays for gRaViJa, swickster and Whisper which readied bakeries to begin stocking up on their supplies. For those fortunate enough to plan ahead, cakes a plenty as Guardian quickly acquired his. The very next day, birthday cakes had to be baked for kuronetsuki and Miharu. The industry soon learned that icing and candles were on short supply the next day when azrith001 and Metatronicks had their birthdays to celebrate. The baker's plight continued as the next day had KerriganSaila and Bukk to have abirthday cake made ready. However, cake production continued for the birthday of Zerbu. And Guispfilho had been lucky to get a cake on the last day of the week.

General Chat
The war in Ukraine by Russian forces still headlines the News of the World , with Russia sending missiles into a Children's Hospital and planting landmines along the roads refugees would take to escape. However, some of the Russian troops have gone into revolt, naval warships having gone into revolt while Russian troops sabotaging their own equipment and surrendering. Other events have also taken effect due to the war, NATO considering more bases in the Baltic region while most major credit card companies have pulled out of Russia altogether. Certainly more action has been taken involving the war while some domestic issues persist. But that is for you to read in this week's news.

A new teaser video was made available by TsunamiJurai for the Mizuki Saga Season 1 Campaign, the video spotlighting both mangas, Megumi Saga Resurrection and Megumi Saga Chronicles.

Tech Talk
As weeks go by, it stands to reason that cryptocurrencies remain within the News of the Cyber World. Be aware that with the war in Ukraine, there are cybercriminals taking advantage and posing as fundraisers. Meanwhile, President Biden signed an executive order dealing with advanced technology and digital assets, part of which to mitigate illicit finances which Russia could use to bypass sanctions. Meanwhile, the data breach of T-Mobile's data may still be circulating on the dark web while the hacker himself claimed T-Mobile's security was 'awful.'

Games Development
Development Discussion
For those with interest, it appears that Kain Nobel and Remi-chan are asking each other What's up as fellow RMers. Kain is inspired by the quality of Remi-chan's work with her posting more renditions of her characters and revised in-game video footage which now includes Siletrea as a voice actor. Upon seeing her latest work, Kain Nobel inquired as to the techniques she uses within the RPGMaker engine, and changes she would make.

Tutorials
If one had issues drawing pointers with Gimp, be advised that kyonides discovered and pasted contents of a turorial entitled Arrows and GIMP that may intrigue you. As described by DerVVulfman days later, the tutorial is for the installation of a script which lets you create arrow graphics in Gimp with ease along with a shot of how the final tool would appear.

Within kyonides's treatise, Mature Plots and Events, he discusses the moral dilemma heroes may face when it comes to how they deal with the villain of the story. Likewise, he suggests that the villain has his own motives which he considers for the common good.

Material Development
Resources Database
More textures are available for game makers who peruse Eric Matyas's Massive Library of Free Images, starting with a new pourous stone texture. Highly detailed fan leaf canopy tiles and a light brown wood tile showing the myriad fibers within are also present for your use.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
Does anyone have a comical detective game in the works and need some tunes to go with it? If so, head over to Eric Matyas's thread where he Shares His Original Music as a pair of tunes entitled "WHO DONE IT?" and "MORE COOKIE HEISTS" could give you the inspiration to make your own Inspector Jacques Clouseau. But if some lighthearted travel music is your thing, perhaps you might wish to "CHUG ALONG, LITTLE ENGINE" until you have your "PICNIC BY THE RIVER".

Literature Section
This week, kyonides began his latest work told in the first person style he has used so often, Flames and Death. Within the first chapter, his persona stumbled upon a crowd forcing a disheveled woman through town towards her execution while he monologues internally how of if to be her savior. And of the second chapter, his persona appears within college, being scolded for heisting a book, and encountering a pair that left him weakened. But what of the voice he later heard?

Special Projects
ReGaL (RPG Game Lab)
Screenies
More work is being accomplished with the REGAL Application, updates and renders of the Event Message system being shown, a completely revised and detailed error message and logging system, and a new in-game object... Game_Strings with credit going to PK8 for its inspiration.

Well, that's it for this week.
