(March 21 to March 27, 2021)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Announcements and Updates
Since this past September, Save-Point took down many of the visual plugins it had used. However, DerVVulfman announced the Return of some Visual Accents that were found not to have the vulnerabilities that the hackers exploited. O these, the Forum Stats, random quotes and thanks plugins have returned as they don't rely on actual outside input.

Occasions
This week, we had plenty of reasons to celebrate, mainly due to the number of birthdays that came and went. First this week was a birthday celebration for cmfieran and gallon, which was later followed by the birthday collective belonging to Holder, millarso and themeguy. After that, the birthdays of AvatarOfEnkidu and Personigo de la Ĉefo came and went. And these were followed soon after by Kail's birthday. After that JontheFox had a birthday to celebrate. Finally, RubyCrystal had a slice of cake before the week ended.

General Chat
On its fourth week, the Ukranian/Russian war is still headlining the News of the World as Ukraine takes back a suburb in Kyiv while the Russian Navy took heavy losses. Even while President Zelensky is open to a peace deal, he demands it be face to face with Putin and that the Ukranian people have a say. But Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that allowing Ukrainians to have a say would undermine the talks. The White House Staff attempted to walk back President Biden's clearly made statement that "For God's sake, this man cannot remain in power." While for security reasons, the FCC expelled another state-owned Chinese phone carrier amid rising tension with Beijing. The recall of blood pressure medication by Phizer, Elun Musk's Texas Bash, and more were in this week's news.

Is it Harry Potter's invisible Cloak? Is it a Romulan Cloaking Device? Within this week's post for Weird Science, you will discover that a flat panel made in England is able to deflect light in a peculiar manner so anyone hiding behind will be hidden and the panel appears as its own surroundings.

Tech Talk
For gamers, the News of the Cyber World was filled with news that the Playstation Network was down the middle of the week. Not widespread, it affected areas within New York while Canadian and Midwestern US users had no issues.

Games Development
Development Discussion
If you are curious about What's up among your fellow RMers, be aware that kyonides is developing a script to give an alternate method to gain skills, referencing material from Siletrea's OC for names. Meanwhile, map vistas, screenshots and youtube videos adorn the thread thanks to Remi-chan, including a teaser video of her game collection. She finished working upon all her game's main map design and even posted new sprites for her game courtesy of CoyoteCraft.

Material Development
Scripts Database
It has been a while since DoubleX worked on the Popularized ATB Clock plugin he made for RPGMaker MV. But this week, he added new parameters to control the clock's position, size and color settings.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
A new pair of sci-fi tunes have appeared among Eric Matyas's 2000 Original Music and Sound FX works. The first is a light hearted tune entitled "SPIFF THE SPACEMAN" and the second being "GRUNGY OLD CODE".

Literature Section
The title to kyonides's current tale, Flames and Death, may be apt indeed. The quest of his hero to enter the dark forest to recover a necessary artifact was waylaid by the plots of rivals in his school. And drugged, he awakens in his dormatory bed with a pretty kidnapper. So how will his raven-haired Alice react to finding him naked in bed with the aductress?

What goes on within the worlds that the authoress of Fantasia is writing? For that, you should check out Remi-chan's Writing Snippets~ as she unveils the backdrop to the events that started her universe, and later who and what may yet destroy all.

Special Projects
ReGaL (RPG Game Lab)
Screenies
Kain Nobel is going full blast upon all the REGAL Application, rewriting the audio tools, revising the list of event commands you can apply, redefine the Wait Event command to include both framerate and millisecond timing, and the message system. And he has thoughts on having multiple audio channels, which DerVVulfman appears familiar.

Well, that's it for this week.

"So do you." Edna Ferber (1885-1968)
