(March 28 to April 3, 2021)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Occasions
Days come and days go, but birthdays are that special time where we can celebrate the life of our friends and relatives. Of those that came and went, we had the opportunity to celebrate the birthdays of GlaDOS, MindOnFire and Nonsense_Spouter. After that, Obsession, Inspirnasoft, KoshzPoshz and darthsqueaky had a birthday to celebrate. And these were followed soon after by bladezuez's birthday. Next up, we had the shared birthdays of RyanC, candikitten182, greenraven, OaK and BluFloxy with no cake wasted this time. We more cake served when luminitrim and Boyos showed up with the same birthday. And this week wrapped up as Lunarea, Izanagi, SoulPour777 and roninator2 had the same birthday.

General Chat
The knowledge that more and more mechandise breaks down and becomes obsolete even faster was What's on the mind of Kain Nobel, noting that most everything both comes from China and is less dependable than ever. All this while business found it cheaper to merely outsource and eliminate their own workforce that would produce goods themselves.

As it has been for a month, the Ukraine/Russia war heads the News of the World, whether it is Zelensky's rebuke of nations involved in the Budapest Memorandum, Biden's series of gaffs, or a suspected poisoning of Ukrainian peacekeepers in Kyiv. Allegations of sexual harassment ignored by World Bank reared its head, and an anti-trust bill against Amazon, Google and Apple is making headway by the US DOJ. Karaoke arrests involving the Flash, a change in White House press secretaries and more came about this week.

Games Development
Development Discussion
Kain Nobel's entertainment of Remi-chan's posts last week were What's up with him, acknowledging her work and that of Coyotecraft of HBGames.Org.

Material Development
Scripts Database
DerVVulfman discovered and fixed a bug with The Charlie Mini-Map / Dynamic Maps Patch, one that incorrectly scaled the minimap if the map was previously memorized by the dynamics map script.

This week, kyonides revisited his General Methods XP VX & ACE adding new options to memorize, use and clear memoed events.

Script Requests
This week, kingray100 put forth a request for a Basic Enemy Counterattacks script, whether one exists or if one could be created. Since he said he had some basic scripts, kyonides inquired what scripts were in play if anything could cause conflict. Kingray100 thought that was fair and listed the two scripts he was using.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
Watch out, because the circus is in town! The Original Music that Eric Matyas is Sharing now has three new pieces, two which sing of the fun street games one can find at a carnival arcade while the second may make one think of a clown car being chased.

Literature Section
A scene of romance turns into a visage of Flames and Death with kyonides's latest chapter. Would the person you just broke up with come to your rescue? How far would she go? How far did Erik go? And what of the infuriating voices trying to steer him. These are questions one may wonder with the latest installment.

Special Projects
ReGaL (RPG Game Lab)
Screenies
The audio component of the REGAL Application may be undergoing some advancement when Kain Nobel was asked about, and noted the suggestion of loop points for music tracks. As DerVVulfman suggested it, the resident werewolf also added that a script he crafted also included an editor of sorts. The core systems such as graphics and audio updating are going to be upgraded to handle the window focus, so features are all paused when the game is no longer in focus. This being different from the earlier systems which would let music continue while you have another window open. And while Kain Nobel suggested that full keyboard will be available, he quickly jotted down the suggestion of Double-Click for the input module after it suggested. As towards more suggestions, Kain requested more suggestions with Siletrea inquiring about an increase to the number of frames per animation. Further work appears to be involving the menu system, a multiple frame battler screen and more.

Well, that's it for this week.
