Mother's Day Double Edition

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past two weeks as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Feedback and Suggestions
Recognizing kyonides' request for a Dark Theme for SavePoint, XPKobold noted he preferred dark themes more often himself. But DerVVulfman, who made various themes for the forum in the past, stated that the site's prime concern is to find a better forum service first.

Occasions
Do you know what days past by these past two weeks? If you thought it was someone's birthday, you were right. We started this week celebrating the birthdays of No ID and Xandhoniox, which was followed by the birthday of MicKo and Kristovski. Then Ttrain had a birthday to celebrate, which was in turn followed by the birthdays of Kread-EX, odinel and MagicalMoses. After that, AeroLowe had a birthday cake to enjoy. And the end of the first week, MarcoTheSkater and ShadeMattson had a birthday cake to share. But the week started anew and it was then we had a birthday celebration for KJGungeon. And only a day later, the shared birthdays of FallenSolder, Cidiomar and Maxyboy had appeared, followed soon after by the birthdays of LDC Studios, Karindanslav, Punn_, ninja1, kinlinfox and saizon. And it wasn't long therafter that we saw birthdays for Korija2029, mati82 and EvilMoonLight. Just after we celebrated a birthdays for Nuanla. And as the week ended, Ahzoh, Dr. Ermine, Son_Rukiri and Kalier all had thier birthdays to celebrate.

General Chat
Some facets of the Ukraine vs Russia still appear in this week's News of the World, whether it be the upcoming delivery of German tanks to face Russian forces, or Elon Musk's Satellites being used to eliminate Russian heavy forces. With that, would one expect Russia to still be invited to this year's G20 summit? It was revealed that President Biden created a government division to target social media posts for disinformation, the person heading known to foster disinformation herself. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandryo Mayorkas admits that some of the fourty-two suspected terrorists that were caught crossing the U.S. border may have been released, An appeals court ruled against Obama Apointee Walker's order against requiring IDs in Florida, a victory for Governor Ron DeSantis, stating Walker's judgement was not in good faitth in claiming the law was discriminatory. Environmental issues such as the National Audubon Society pocketing money from Wind Farm industries and the unexpected impact of plastic grocery bags were also found in this week's news. This and more are there to read.

It seems that our Resident Werewolf is traveling the corridors of time and space if you asked him What are YouTubing?, though his own designated driver appears a bit tipsy.

Tech Talk
For those in the know, this week's News of the Cyber World was primarily about Twitter's acceptance of Elon Musk's takeover bid. Musk's own statement was that of Free Speech, and allowing the algorithms that safeguard the service be open source and readily available for scrutiny. Once acquired, Musk plans to make the company private. While some worry about Musk's acquisition of Twitter, others appear more optimistic.

Forum Games & Nonsense
Beware hobby-store clerks, for DerVVulfman posted a humorous gamer's story from ages back where Every Low WIS Deserves A Successful Intimidate Check.

Games Development
Development Discussion
Game development appears to be What's up with RMers DerVVulfman and Remi-Chan. The werewolf is still working on the tactical system, finally making pop-up damage appear within the custom pop-up window. And Remi-chan finished working on optional content and posted two youtube videos, one involving the meeting of two siblings after many years, and the other the capture of a gluttonous sleepwalker. Meanwhile, kyonides wondered if anything else could be done with experience points other than just being a means to increase one's level. Suggestions of Exp Books and other items related towards purchasing of exp points or using them as currency are currently things being considered.

Tutorials
This week, kyonides made another post regarding Ruby Scripting, noting that the order of methods defined in a class object do not care in which order they are presented and the discussion of recursive or looping methods.

Material Development
Tools
When JayRay wished to check on the FaceMaker tool provided by the bb.ohsk website, it turned out that the link and site had died. Fortunately, DerVVulfman still had a copy of the old program and made it an attachment to the old thread.

Resources Database
Are you looking for a fine desert sand for your tileset? If so, then peruse through the Building a Massive Library of Free Images which Eric Matyas is compiling. He made new textures such as a pair of desert sand ground tiles, along with new Metal and Stone works. And was later thrilled by JayRay's praise, when he posted some new vegitation tilework.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
Though he has been busy these past two weeks, Eric Matyas continued to work upon His Original Music and Sound FX, first creating a new track to enjoy, Entitled "CHUGGIN' THROUGH THE BLUE GRASS STATE", it is only the second composition he has within his Country Music category. He returned with two tracks of droning energy ambient sound tracks for those interested in futuristic science fiction games.

Art and Design
Beware, for those that enter Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing!, the personification of sorrow has now been revealed. Despite the appearance of the maiden in green, the entity you will encounter in both full image and speed draw is one who would hound you and make your live a literal hell.

Well, that's it for this week.
