(July 11 to July 17, 2022)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
We in Save-Point love it when our members celebrate thier birthdays. As such we noticed that members like Samven and DuongCool had birthdays when this week started. This was followed by the birthdays for kingray100, GwenBlanketKnight and welldevil. After that, yankbs had birthday cake a plenty. And after that Rose Guardian, Orzork and BilouMaster had birthdays to celebrate. After that, fredskiiing, Talesdreamer, Choriandus, Kamillo and Derk-Jan all shared their special day. And lastly, the birthdays of LadyTempestNyx and Linklad had passed.

General Chat
Iran hit the News of the World earlier this week, tales of it delivering drones to Russia while Iran denies the arrangement exists. Turmoil exists in Sri Lanka as the nation's Prime Minister has refused to resign amidst an escalating economic and civilian crisis. Though cleared of charges, the US Border Agents denigrated by the White House now face new charges which Republicans claim were made to try and save face. There's that, murder charges and a conviction involving Wikileaks hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
Bad news for Big Tech companies hit this week's News of the Cyber World when Twitter began suing Elon Musk as they attempt to force the Billionaire to finish the acquisition of the firm, despite Musk's lawyer citing that Twitter is "in material breach of multiple provisions" of the deal. Meanwhile, it was revealed that, despite previous assurances by TicToc, Australian user data is within reach and access of the Chinese government.

Forum Games & Nonsense
This week, a short vignette of what could humorously transpire during a pen-and-paper rollplay game entitled A ROLL OF THE DIE was posted by DerVVulfman.

Games Development
Development Discussion
Having finished working on icon-oriented optional events for Fantasia was What's Up with the RMers known as Remi-chan. And in celebration, she posted a pair of cutscenes from her current game, the first showing how tormented certain characters were while the second shows evil in its truest form.

Upcoming Projects
JayRay has embarked on a new project, to create the SGB HKCP Character Creator. Inspired by ChargenEX by DerVVulfman, it is a character sprite developer system but produces output meant for Smile Game Builder. But unlike using solid renders of the characters rendered, JayRay's system allows one to select and change individual body parts at whim.

Material Development
For those that wish to work on old-school games, JayRay presented us with EasyChar by Jetrotal. EasyChar is a system that allows one to craft sprites for RPGMaker 2000 or RPGMaker 2003.

Scripts Database
Who's to say that the big bad's henchmen are loyal to death? With kyonides's newest script, KBribe, they very well might not! Now, it is possible to bribe the bad guys during battle, though it might cost a bit.

Resources Database
If you thought Eric Matyas deserved praise for Building a Massive Library of Free Images, you're not alone. It turns out that over he has received well-over 100 kudos for his work.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
If you were keen on making vibrant crime stories set in the 1950's, then you may wish to check out Eric Matyas's Original Music and Sound thread. This week, Eric composed a pair of big-band tunes that would fit any crime caper that may feature Las Vegas legend, Frank Sinatra.

Well, that's it for this week.
