(July 25 to July 31, 2020)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
While it is true that Pie is Fly, you just have to love a good slice of Birthday cake and this week there was plenty of cake going around. This week started off as JackMonty, Tsaku and DragonFang321 had some cake along with phillip harnden's a couple of days later. It didn't take long before Progiver's and DaBoiONeil's birthday passed. Later, elisamuelps, ManuPichgu and Bennerdeben had shared birthdays. Even then, the next day heralded the birthdays of Sievn and Francexi. And before the week ended, zecomeia and Ti-Max had their share of birthday cake.

General Chat
If you wish to have a laugh at what is coming out for viewing, you could just find out and ask DerVVulfman the question of "What are YouTubing?" Coming to the theaters, he found what may be a much better interpretation of a fantasy gaming world starring Star Trek's Chris Pine. And new to Disney streaming, the Marvel Universe expands with their take on Law and Order.

Spending sprees, China and much more hit this week's News of the World. Uncovered recently, a new bill claiming to reduce inflation within the U.S. was found to instead raise taxes and increase inflation. A sudden crash affected oil prices while it was found that President Biden authorized selling 6 Million Barrels of the US reserves to China. And of China, they have threatened to respond, even militarily, if House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi was to visit China. The Supreme Court rules in favor of Texas regarding Biden's immigration policy while Democrats are finding what its like to have illegal aliens sent to their cities as Biden has been doing recently. The death of a famed Star Trek actress and the voice of The Little Mermaid's Ursula, Poland's classification of cats as destructive invaders, and the possible fate of Dr. Fauci are also present for those to read.

Tech Talk
Ransomware hits this week's News of the Cyber World as it was uncovered that a ransomware command and control network exists with hosts everywhere, including Russia and one in the U.S. Meanwhile, a popular GPS tracker was discovered to have vulnerabilities to allow hackers to cut the flow of gas to a vehicle, and give hackers your location and destination itinerary. And it was uncovered that both Google Drive and DropBox are now being used to deliver malware to unsuspecting users.

I has now come to liight this week that Chinese Hackers had targeted political reporters just ahead of the January 6 Incident, along with hackers from Iran, North Korea and Turkey. This not as new as one would believe as the NY times stated that Chinese hackers were persistent in 2013 in their attacks while the Times were writing about then Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao. This while the DOJ stated Iranian Hackers accessed a media company's mainframe to modify news content as part of an election interference op.

Forum Games & Nonsense
For those into pen and paper dungeon crawls, one must be able to appreciate the inventiveness of a player who created THE GHOST OF THE DRAGON. This week's Dungeons and Dragons comical recollection tale posted by DerVVulfman speaks how the most diminuitive of characters can truly be a terror.

Games Development
Upcoming Projects
While working on his newest project, a game entitled The Tricksy Candidate, kyonides created a poll asking members to vote what type of roll certain characters may be cast in his game, using the persona of some of the forum's familiar faces. Based on events from some of his previous software demos, he's even provided an introductory chapter for those unfamiliar with the events leading up to his tale.

Code Support
This past week, zlsl had an issue Combining ATES with Ryex's Dynamic in that the audio effects from Blizzard's and ThallionDarkshine's weather system were being eliminated by the Dynamic Sounds script. He thought that using DerVVulfman's Audio Module MCISendString could be handy, and he was correct. DerVVulfman supplied a version of his Audio Module and a patch so the weather effects wouldn't be drowned out, elating zlsl who appreciated the elegant work.

Material Development
Resources Database
Last week, DerVVulfman forged a Crusader's sword. But this week, he's now added a sword more akin to a Claymore to the HALF KAISER BATTLER PROJECT.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
A couple weeks, he received various kudos for his graphics. But now, Eric Matyas is now showing off the various compliments for his Original Music and Sound.

Well, that's it for this week.
