(May 1 to May 7, 2023)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Occasions
It took a while, but with some assistance by DerVVulfman in the forum's discord, Victor Sena joined and said hello to everyone in his greeting post. He has some skill in pixel art.

Thanks to google during his search for development content, Rayner joined the community and hopes to grow with us.

General Chat
This week's News of the World is replete with headlines, such as the legal issues of President Biden's family, whether it be his son's Child Support hearing or the DOJ's investigation for tax fraud, the Whistleblower providng evidence over political interference in the investigation, another whistleblower relaying that President Biden was conducting illegal activity during his vice presidency, and Biden's current Secretary of State may be embroiled in a scandal with his son's dealings with Burisma. A drone strike in Moscow hit this week's news, Russian media claiming it was an attempt by Ukraine to assassinate President Vladimir Putin. Many in the Kremlin have vowed that Ukraine's President Zelenski must die for the attempt, though the drone wound have needed to fly 500 miles while Putin was not in Moscow. Meanwhile, NATO has noticed Russia showing interest in undersea communication and power lines used by European nations, and believes the cables and pipes are being secretly mined, bringing up memories of the Nordstream Two pipeline explosion which remains a mystery. The Coronation of King Charles III was an auspicios day, crowned by the Archbishop of Canterbury. "God Save the King" was proclaimed after the centuries old crown of St. Edward was placed upon his head. News that Oregon plans to let the homeless sue anyone for $1000 if harassed or told to leave, Iran's piracy of a second oil tanker in international waters, the re-education of a 77 year old man for insulting French President Macron, and much more hit this week's news.

For those who have older computers, be aware that STEAM SUPPORT IS ENDING FOR WINDOWS 7 & 8. They noted that Microsoft had ended updates for the two operating systems, and their service is reliant upon current browsers to operate.

Games Development
Development Discussion
For DerVVulfman, the work on his left-handed versions of the Half Kaiser battlers was What's up as an RMer. He posted an animated gif showing both left and righ handed battlers for a couple actions, and said he was nearly done with the male template. However, he says that the female template will be next on his agenda.

Material Development
Event Systems Database
It is a rarity for DerVVulfman to release an evented system, but he chose to this week. His EVENTED HOUSES RPGMaker XP demo basically shows users how to buy furniture for a house without the need for complex scripted systems.

Scripts Database
This week, kyonides worked on a variety of his systems, upgrading his Pharmakology XP and KSetTilesets XP scripts made for RPGMaker XP. The Pharmakology needed a fix to prevent data loss while the KSetTilesets was updated so the script could effect maps that the player was already within.

Insofar as KModTimer by kyonides, the system may now allow the timer display settings to be changed in-game. And no longer just for RPGMaker VXAce, kyonides rebranded KBlockTargetAce and now named it KBlockStates as it works now for RPGMaker XP and can prevent skills from targeting those affected while its script commands have been shortened.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
This week, you can find a couple of tunes for made by Eric Matyas who continues to Share His Original Music, the first being "The Book of Riddles" a fantasy piece that yet has darker harmony behind it. The second piece he had composed, "The Blob Monster Factory" would be fitting for a Mad Scientist's dungeon. He did have a third piece he called "The Winner" which has a 90s chirpy cyber sound to it. Just remember that higher quality versions of his works are available for a modest fee.

Well, that's it for this week.
