(January 15 to January 21, 2024)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
General Chat
The race for the U.S. Presidency hit this week's News of the World as Florida Governor DeSantis ends his bid and endorces former President Trump, this while investigations of corruption into those prosecuting the former President continue. And of investigations, Hunter Biden, U.S. President Biden's son, has been relented to be deposed in Congress. But Hunter's legal defense over his illegal gun charges escalate as cocaine was detected on its holster. Never have second thoughts about Russia being a bad actor, now jamming GPS signals impacting the Baltic area, seizing property, claiming their sale of Alaska to the U.S. was illegal, and Slovokia's Pro-Russian Prime Minister urging Ukraine to let Russia keep its stolen land for hostilities to end. However, Europe is not standing for this as NATO starts the largest Wargames in a decade while Europe deploys tens of thousands along the border while France speeds up production of artillery meant for Ukraine. Towards the Middle East, U.S. President Biden finally put the Houtis back on the Global Terror List though he claimed their initial removal as ‘Irrelevant’. And tensions in the region rise even more as even the Taliban are concerned about a Nuclear Pakistan and Near-Nuclear Iran proceed to fire missiles at each other. Cartels continue kidnapping migrants in Mexico while Venezuela's regime imprisons Catholic priests, Arnold Schwarzennegar nearly arrested over a watch in Germany while Alec Baldwin is again facing manslaughter over the 'Rust' shooting, the U.S. FBI condemned by a Judge for staging a terror attack and arresting those set up in 2009, the impact of illegal immigration, and much more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
This week's News of the Cyberworld focuses itself on Google, how AI-generated rip-off articles are flooding its news service and how they plan to use AI to eliminate even more jobs. Meanwhile, Consumer Reports did a study and found nearly two-hundred thousand companies have been detected tracking ever member on Facebook.

Forum Games & Nonsense
This week, the resident werewolf was able to discover another tabletop gaming tale of old, one of humor and a case of underestimation. Behold The Mace that Disrupted my Game as this story found by DerVVulfman was initially relayed by a Dungeon Master whom found an item he generally placed within his campaign was used to great effect.

Games Development
Development Discussion
One of the many ways to find out how your fellow community members are doing is to find out What's up with their RPGMaker projects. And Remi-chan received new character sprite graphics from Coyotecraft, using them in videos or presenting them in animated scaled-increased renders. And when AVGB-KBGaming found that he couldn't find the Self Data Suite by PK8 in any website visited, DerVVulfman appeared with an archive made for the RPGMaker VXAce engine, the other two not found.

Upcoming Projects
Near the end of the week, Starmage released the latest trailer for Heroes of the Seasons. This trailer, created by Berry B, showcases the battlesystem and various enemies that would be encountered in this Chrismas themesd bosh-rush RPG set within the Blue Skies universe.

Material Development
Scripts Database
Last week, kyonides released KustomShop to users of RPGMaker XP, a script which lets one redesign their classic shop system with various accents, including the ability to randomly determine if a shop is willing to purchase from the player or not. However, he chose it wasn't good enough and created two additional ports, one for RPGMaker VX and the other for VXAce, this while repairing bug fixes that did not update the player's interface, and added a new item level limit feature.

Resources Database
If you were looking for new brickwork for that dungeon that ancient citadel, then you may wish to peruse the Massive Library of Free Images being created by Eric Matyas. Within, he crafted several textures which you may appreciate, his latest being a series of tileable masonery images, mainly a large variety of various colos within his artistic Brick section. However, his abstract page holds one set of bricks of the same format, but with an uneven and peculiar layout.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
The game developers who revel in making games set in a dystopian future will surely appreciate Eric Matyas's Original Music and Sound this week. Making any content that has one travel through space, "Ancient Mars" is a droning techno piece meant to evoke feelings of both trepadation and wonderment. And for the urban streets of the future, "Cyberpunk Underground" sets the mood for any sneak thief looking to catch that big score, or the would-be bounty hunter looking for him.

Art and Design
Now that it the Year of the Dragon, you may now gaze within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing! to see a femme fatale dragon of her own. The Hellrider of Terror, up close and personal appears amidst a starlit sky of indigo.

Literature Section
If you were one who played Intelligence: The 314 Clash, the recent additions to Remi-chan's Writing Snippets may seen quite familiar. For within, you will find that a hero was forced to endure betrayal most lethal in order to survive a battle against all odds. But what other secrets do they hold, and why does one say ne need not hide any longer?

Filmography
Upon entering Remi-chan's Cinematic Theatre you will find a new video, this dubbed as the second of the Starchaser series. Upon seeing, you wwill find Remi-chan trolling anyone who plays World of Warcraft including herself. However, as she makes jokes at everyones expense and roasts both herself and the game, she also brings up news about the latest work to bring Classic Warcraft back to life with new mechanics. She does make recommendations at times, and even promotes some online youtubers who enjoy playing (or delight in mocking) Warcraft, individuals such as Barney Beekeeper.

Well, that's it for this week.
