The thread is not intended for discussion, but a listing of available software.  Postings to create discussion will be removed.  However, it is welcome for members to suggest a piece of software to post. If you are posting an actual Security Software within this topic, please be thorough (title, source url, features, cost, etc).

Also, recommendations and critiques by members towards a software package are encouraged as they may find their way into an existing software post (ie, Abraham makes a post to recommend Norton.  'Recommended by Abraham' may appear within the post). Nothing too lengthy.

Member recommendations and rebukes are shown at the bottom of each post.

its free/stable and run by the same people who pretty much made your PC so they have the best reasons for keeping your system virus free"

On the subject of system security, my choice is uBlock/uBlock Origin.

https://www.ublock.org/

It also has plugin versions for many popular browsers. Why do I bring this up in antivirus/antimalware topic? Simple. uBlock prevents malware from even getting close enough to your system to even worry about tripping your antivirus/antimalware. It'll even prevent infected sites from loading without your express say-so.
The most important lesson I learned from AD&D is this: Trolls are best killed with fire.
