Meh, most of the slowness is because you're probably not disabling all the phoning home. The windows 10 install I did here runs very fast, the only issue is the microsoft app store doesn't work ( not that I care, I don't need it for anything ) and with all the data sharing to MS disabled, you can't use Cortana ( not that I care, she's an annoying bitch outside of halo anyway )

Not in my case. My Win 10 setup is lightning fast, the only issues have been the updater

Yeah, my Windows 10 has gotten faster and faster with every update. My games have gotten most of their fps back, though Quicksync still acts goofy. Hoping for a full fix on that soon!
Anyway, I had a problem with a Flash Player update, and it wouldn't work when I retried.
I tried the sfc /scannow elevated command, but it found nothing, so I decided to hit Google...
On Reddit, they said that this was an update that needed a manual download because it was being goofy for everyone.

After hitting one of the manual links they had, the update never showed up again, so I suppose it worked.
In case anyone else was having that problem, I decided to mention it

Something you can try is using the
Flash Player Uninstall Tool This will clean wipe flash player from the system and then you can do a clean install from the flash player website. At least Ive fixed a lot of computers having the same problem that way.
I would advised removing it forever considering all the security holes that has but thats another can of worms.

Next to Internet Explorer, Flash is the bane of the internet. I can't wait until it's gone forever.

I got 4 Intel driver updates today, and after installing them and restarting, the laptop booted up faster than usual. Everything else seemed to be going fast as well, and I had barely any audio stutter when playing a game that usually has some stutter during screen transitions.
It's possible that Quicksync was fixed with these latest driver updates, but from what I read, they were from 9/14/2015, over 10 days ago, and I only got them now!
Anyway, more fps has returned. This makes me happy

Thats actually normal. MS doesnt release the drivers the same day manufacturers do. They first do a basic test to then digitally sign them and then move them for deployment.
Hmmm this gives me an idea for the software pack thread. Will update it tomorrow or saturday with something related to this issue.

So after the latest version the internet was knocked out with all browsers. My fix:
launch the command prompt as an admin ( cmd ). then run each command 1 at a time and finally restart
ipconfig -release
ipconfig -renew
ipconfig -flushdns
ipconfig -registerdns
nbtstat -rr
netsh int ip reset all
netsh winsock reset

personally I find windows 10 to be fantastic!
it needs constant updates but gets better and smoother with each update
if it wasn't for a small no-install program not being compatible and now broken from age I'd be 100% satisfied

I'm loving Windows 10, but it seems to update at the WORST possible times.
It seems like every time I want to upload a video, my internet is going slower than usual to the point of nothing loading... and when I check, Windows 10 is updating at 45%!
Otherwise, I haven't had any problems with Windows 10. Everything seems to be in working order now, including OBS, which is finally very compatible with this new version of Windows. The fps loss is significantly lower than it used to be while recording, so it has helped quite a bit in that aspect
