She has been temporarily released from prison with an electronic ankle bracelet and is spending some quality time with her family in Teheran. Iranian authorities claimed she had threatened national security and spread dangerous propraganda. Iran does not recognize dual citizenship.

Storm Alex: Heavy rains cause severe flooding in France and Italy

At least two people have died and at least 25 are missing after a powerful storm hit southern France and north-western Italy.
A number of villages suffered serious damage around the southern city of Nice. Its mayor described it as the worst flooding in living memory.
In northern Italy, roads and bridges were swept away by floodwater, while several rivers overflowed their banks.

One of the victims was a firefighter in Aosta Valley. Another one was swept into a river in the Piedmont region while he was driving.  

Rick Moranis was hit by a mysterious guy in Manhattan

Mr Moranis went to hospital and reported pain in his head, hip and back before reporting the crime at the precinct.

Belarus election: Row with EU intensifies over disputed vote

The EU and Belarus have imposed sanctions on each other in an escalating row over a disputed presidential election.
On Friday, the EU announced it was sanctioning 40 members of Mr Lukashenko's team.
Belarus announced retaliatory measures the same day, but has not disclosed which EU officials have been targeted.
Among those on the list are said to be Interior Minister Yuri Karaev and top security official Alexander Valerievich Bykov, whom the EU accused of "torture of peaceful demonstrators".
German Chancellor Angela Merkel told journalists the sanctions were "an important signal because it strengthens the hand of those who are protesting for freedom of opinion in Belarus."

Probably Lukashenko doesn't care about it because Putin still supports him. Some even suspect Belarus has been unofficially annexed to the Russian Federation in practical terms.  

US also sanctioned 8 officials including Karaev. Meanwhile UK and Canada imposed sanctions on Lukanshenko and his family.

Leaving Cert: Thousands set for improved grades

An error in the grading calculation system in the Republic of Ireland means thousands of pupils will get improved grades.
It is the third mistake identified in the system and is thought to affect about 6,100 students.
Those who have been awarded higher grades can now see that reflected online.
Two previous errors had already been flagged up during an audit of the coding used to standardise results.
