The Marder armoured infantry fighting vehicle of Germany uses Swiss-made ammunition. And while Germany wishes to deliver many to Ukraine to help fend off Russian attacks, Switzerland put a stop to its use by legally restricting the 're-export' of the amunition.
Two inquiries were sent to the Swiss State Secretariate for Economic Affairs, both giving negative responses citing that it would harm Swiss neutrality and it went against the criteria of war material legislation. While Switzerland went with the European Union in sanctions against russia, they state that their neutrality does not permit providing arms.
It should be noted that Switzerland also rejected Poland's request for arms to help Ukraine.
