Skills that restore SP and reactive skills.

Hey all. I have been trying to figure out how to do a few things and I haven't been able to figure them out. Maybe someone else might be able to help me out.

The first thing I have been wondering how to do was set up skills so they restore a characters SP, be it to full or a portion/percentage.

The second function I have been trying to figure out for skills deals with reactive skills. I want to give a character a reactive skill set. What this entails is, I want a set of skills for a character that she/he can only use when something happens to them in combat. And instead of it being random/set skill/attack. I want the player to be able to choose the skill they want to use for the reaction from the designated skill set.

What I was thinking was the character would have a skill/CMD called reactive. Which puts the character in a reactive state. And then when the enemy does something to that character, a window pops up with the list of skills to react with. The player chooses one, and then the character attacks.

There are various scripts for SP-related damage, look for Trickster's Bag of Skill effect, it's call Osmosis and Damage Mp, you need to use SDK for it however..
Another alternative is Blizzard's Tons of Addon, however, it's alot of crap in it so you maybe wanna think twice before using that..

The second one I have no idea. :|

Thanks. I will have to fiddle around with blizz addons a little later. that and look at the scripting for the osmosis/damage mp again. I might not have thoroughly looked at them to see if they could do what I wanted.

The second one sounds like an "overdrive/Limit Break' skill. Like if the character is hit so many times his 'limit break' bar is filled and his limit break skill is made active.

If this is what you have in mind, there are variations that allow you to set a limit break based on how often a player hits their enemy, how often they are attacked, how often they defend, kill an enemy, or other odds and ends.

It may not be 'specific' enough for you, but it could be a start.

I think he means something like a counter skill, this is available in Charlies CTB. But I don't know if this is exactly the same.

I was shooting more towards the reaction ability in charlie's CTB. There is actually a way to turn on personal reaction where the character could choose what they did as their reaction. It is sort of what I am looking for, except, it is too broad. I am looking for the scope to be only for one character, and instead of choosing from the list of battle commands they can do, a window with a list of skills pops up and lets you choose a skill from the skill set defined for reactive skills. Still currently messing around with it trying to see if I can actually make it do what I want. But I have had no luck so far.
