Klans XP

Based on a fairly recent strategy game, I present you the sketch of its first(?) demake that will attempt to replicate SOME of its interesting features if possible.
As I have stated somewhere else, it is a mix of the Age of Empires series and Lords of the Realm 2 plus some other secondary features as well.
The game's basic goals are:
to defend your base camp from all kinds of threats
build your economy
train your military forces
expand your territory as much as possible
defeat your rivals plus the so called neutral factions (mythical creatures)
Basic Menu Options:
Pick your favorite clan or faction
Check its leader and its tech tree
Pick your foes or let the engine do it randomly
Basic Ingame Data:
Shows the current year, the season might be added later on
Shows 7 stats on top of the game screen
Basic Game Mechanics
A day last 2 seconds
A month last 1 minute
A year last 12 minutes
Your warchiefs get paid twice a month, earning 4 or 0 Fame or even losing 8 Fame based on the economy
Concerning the factions and their leaders, I will use the RMXP default actors as the base for developing the initial clans.

Version 0.6.0 Has Been Published!
- Alpha Release -
This is the first official release of the Klans XP demo.
Right now it just features a simple menu that lets you move around by pressing any arrow and hitting the OK or Cancel button.
No mouse support is available on vanilla RMXP, but HiddenChest might get it at some point in the not so near future.
There are just 3 clans lead by the 1 of the 3 default actors in the XP's actors database.
Sword clan
Spear clan
Battleaxe clan
Once you choose a clan or move the clan cursor and leave that section, it will let you go through the difficulty level section (not implemented) and finally reach the Start Game button. If you hit the OK button, it will show you a small window asking you to confirm your decision.
If everything is fine, it will immediately send you to the clan's first map. (Right now all maps are identical.)
There's only a single building featuring your clan's symbol or shield.
The clan's warchief (aka the leader) will now be able to move around at will.
Hit the Cancel button to choose if you want to abort the game or continue playing.

Community Feedback on Internal Mechanics
Now that there's a town hall, the one Wulfo called the clan's HQ, I can focus on what basic resource it should return periodically. It won't be like KLords XP where you have to wait a whole month to check how much gold you've got hidden in your coffers. In this new game project, either gold or food should be updated like every 1 through 3 seconds.
The thing is what should be the default resource the town hall should provide on a regular basis?
Gold
Food
Wood
Stone
Iron
Keep in mind that only 1 single resource will be provided by a working town hall.
Or should it be a clan-based feature instead?
And how much should this basic income rate be?

So far updating gold every second seems to be working fine in the alpha release 0.7.0, yet, this is a test only and not the definitive stats update setup.

This time the demo offers you a fully working gold income feature where you can see the stats bar being updated every second.
Right now there's only one single source of income, namely the town hall. The default setting is to increase your clan's gold amount by 5 coins every second.
It also includes a simple happiness icon that is supposed to change based on the current clan's happiness level. [Proper Update Still Pending]
By the way, now it's also possible to save and load the game at any given time. The engine will load all of the clan specific data just as intended.

Keep in mind that I'm still waiting for any suggestions on how to customize the clans, including the default income and other stuff.

List of Changes & Improvements:
Now every clan would get its own shield and will be visible on top of its town hall.
Any clan might have more than 1 warchief active on the map at any given time, including your enemies.
In theory, you can now switch between your warchiefs' teams at will by pressing the R button. This button setup might change based on users' feedback.
Now every warchief would have to hire his or her own band of soldiers to fight a common enemy.
Every 15 days, the ingame equivalent of 2 weeks, your warchiefs will get paid a basic salary.
If your economy is booming, you get +2 Fame points every 2 weeks.
But if your coffers are empty after those payments, you get 0 Fame.
Notice that failing to make the payments will make your clan get -4 Fame instead.
Added economy related alerts.
The clan selection menu now sports new section labels and a brand new section cursor.
Minor code-related changes in the saving and loading scenes.
Old saved games won't work anymore. Delete them if you've got any.
The text files that handle all the custom clan's stuff have been modified.
