Dargor's Party Changer

I have this battle set up (this event removing the character is before it though) to remove a member so it's only the rest of the party. So in the events, I choose Change Party Member : Remove (member). But, I want to keep the current equipment on the character, because bringing them back in just defaults them to what they had when they first joined.

Edit - I'm an idiot , it automatically does that. I must of done something else. Anyways can someone answer the second question?
