After the collapse of Earth due to complete eco-system breakdown and the failure of Mars to sustain the huge influx of refugees, a last ditch effort to maintain humanity's very existence was actioned.
Known as the Seed project, massive ships, full of potential future beings were sent to planets thought to provide all the necessary to support life. On each of these ships was a hero, an android who stood guard, took care of the ship while in transit and protected the seeds of life as they grew on new planets. Each guardian was made to be both human and animal, taking the best from both and merging them to be a great warrior, nurturer and eventually, folklore.
As time went on, several of the seeded worlds formed a new alliance and the need for the guardians was no more. Gradually they were forgotten, left to roam their new worlds and sometimes beyond.
Once in a lifetime you may see one of them, if you are lucky. Know that even to this day, they protect us from the void.
To meet an eternal guardian is to meet a legend.
