I've always liked the nomenclature of the Shadow Hearts games (prefix+name).
For example, the fire spells in SH Covenant: Red Rave, Red Blaze, Red Cradle and Red Crest. From the New World kept this, with the fire spells being: Red Nova, Red Bounce, Red Gravity and Red Crest.
