Trump admin declares ‘no dust, no dollars’ for Iran — Islamic Republic must give up nuclear material before sanctions relief

WASHINGTON — The White House vowed “no dust, no dollars” for Iran on Sunday — asserting that unless the Islamic Republic gives up its enriched uranium, it will get no sanctions relief — as President Trump tapped the brakes on forecasting a peace deal that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump revealed Saturday that the US and Iran were close on a memorandum of understanding that would get oil flowing again while allowing 30 days for nuclear negotiations.

The plan unleashed panic among some Republicans and Israel backers — prompting Trump officials to clarify that no deal was imminent, and that it would take at least five to seven days to finalize any agreement.

Crucially, a senior administration official stressed that Iran would gain little without fulfilling back-room pledges to surrender its enriched uranium.

“Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes!” Trump wrote on Truth Social, Sunday — a day after saying the the deal with Iran was “largely negotiated.”

That still remains accurate, but the last details appear to be the biggest.

“95% is done, but literally changing words requires days of deliberation in their system,” the official said.

The senior source briefed reporters at least twice clarifying that the agreement wasn’t imminent and that there won’t be a repeat of Barack Obama’s infamous 2016 airlift of cash.

“No dust, no dollars — in other words, no highly enriched uranium, then the Iranians aren’t going to get any real relief,” the official told journalists in a morning briefing.

“If they do nothing, they get nothing. If they do a lot, they can actually get a lot.”

The same top Trump official declared in a Sunday afternoon briefing that “we’ll get a better deal” than Obama’s multinational Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) pact, with the new arrangement featuring “clear enforcement, or no deal.”

There will be “no pallets of cash [and] no other relief for opening the strait,” he said.

Republican senators had expressed alarm at a seeming rush to ink a deal and warned that Trump risked repeating the mistakes of the past by walking away from the three-month war without clear terms.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called the potential framework a “nightmare for Israel” and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) saying he was “deeply concerned” the plan would be“a disastrous mistake.”

Fire erupts at Russian oil terminal following Ukrainian drone attack, injuring 2 people: report

A Ukrainian drone attack caused a fire at another Russian oil terminal overnight, local officials in Russia’s Krasnodar region said Saturday, in what appeared to be the latest attack on Moscow’s vital oil industry.

Authorities in the city of Novorossiysk said falling drone debris sparked a fire at an oil terminal, injuring two people.

Russia’s Astra news outlet said Ukrainian drones struck the Sheskharis oil terminal and depot, the terminus for Russian state-controlled pipeline company Transneft’s main oil pipelines in the region.

Images posted by Astra appeared to show smoke rising above the oil terminal, but they could not be verified.

On Saturday afternoon, Ukraine’s General Staff said its forces had struck the Sheskharis oil terminal overnight.

“The facility provides shipment of oil and oil products for export and is involved in meeting the needs of the Russian army,” the General Staff wrote on Telegram, adding that Ukrainian forces had also hit a tanker in the Black Sea belonging to Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet.”

Ukraine has expanded its mid- and long-range strike capabilities, deploying drone and missile technology that it has developed domestically to battle Russia’s four-year-old invasion.

Attacks on Russian oil assets that play a key part in funding the invasion have become almost daily occurrences.

Meanwhile, the death toll from a Ukrainian drone strike overnight into Friday on a college dormitory building in Starobilsk, a city in Ukraine’s Russia-occupied Luhansk region, rose to 18, the press service of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

Russia Attacks Kyiv With Rare Nuclear-Capable Missile, Killing Four

Russia launched a massive aerial assault on Ukraine on Sunday, killing at least four people in the capital Kyiv and injuring scores more, as President Volodymyr Zelensky reported Moscow had used the powerful, rarely- deployed Oreshnik hypersonic missile.

Zelensky said the missile struck near the city of Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region as part of a sprawling overnight barrage that included around 600 drones and 90 missiles launched from air, sea, and ground platforms. He did not say what the target was.

Air defenses intercepted most incoming strikes, but damage was recorded across at least 40 locations around Kyiv including near government offices, residential buildings, and schools.

Russia's Defence Ministry later on Sunday also confirmed it had used the new missile system which it says can evade conventional air defences.

Widespread Damage

Explosions were heard across the city on Sunday as air raid sirens sounded through the night and continued into the morning.

“It was a terrible night, and there had never been anything like it in the entire war," said Kyiv resident Svitlana Onofryichuk, 55, who has worked in a market that was damaged for 22 years.

“I am very sorry that I have to say goodbye to Kyiv now, I am not staying there anymore, there is no possibility," she added. “My job is gone, everything is gone, everything has burned down.”

Damage was reported across multiple districts of the capital, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s military administration, in a post on Telegram.

Gunman who believed he was Jesus Christ opened fire on White House checkpoint, shot dead by Secret Service

A crazed gunman who believed he was Jesus Christ pulled out a revolver and opened fire outside the White House Saturday night, before he was quickly taken down by a barrage of shots from the Secret Service, sources said.

Nasire Best, 21, fired at a checkpoint at about 6:10 p.m. after being seen pacing in a strange manner up and down 17th St. Northwest, sources told The Post. He only got off a few shots before he was shot and killed in a hail of bullets from federal officers.

At least one bystander was hit and seriously wounded in the fusillade, the sources said.

While a motive for the attack hasn’t been confirmed, sources said Best is a mentally troubled individual who was well-known to the Secret Service for repeatedly loitering around various entry posts and who has violated a previous court order to stay away from the White House.

“FBI is on the scene and supporting Secret Service responding to shots fired near White House grounds – we will update the public as we’re able,” FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X.

The sound of shots from the incident terrifed members of the press who were doing their normal reporting at the White House, including one ABC reporter who was seen diving for cover during a live stream.

“I was in the middle of taping on my iPhone for a social video from the White House North Lawn when we heard the shots,” said Selina Wang, a senior ABC White House correspondent.

“It sounded like dozens of gunshots. We were told to sprint to the press briefing room where we are holding now.”

Secret Service quickly put the White House on lockdown and told reporters to gather on the north lawn and to run into the press briefing room. After about half an hour, the lockdown was lifted. The shots rang out a little less than two hours after President Trump announced on Truth Social that he was in the Oval Office working on a peace deal with Iran.

Best, who was taken down by members of the Secret Service Uniformed Division, had previously been involuntarily committed on June 26 for obstructing vehicular traffic at 15th Street and E Street NW, before being arrested again on July 10 for Unlawful Entry.

Trump says gunman who opened fire at White House checkpoint had ‘possible obsession’ with executive mansion

President Trump on Sunday claimed the crazed gunman who opened fire outside the White House had a “possible obsession” with the Executive Mansion as he praised the Secret Service and law enforcement.

“Thank you to our great Secret Service and Law Enforcement for the swift and professional action taken this evening against a gunman near the White House, who had a violent history and possible obsession with our Country’s most cherished structure,” the president wrote on Truth Social just after midnight.

“The gunman is dead after an exchange of gunfire with Secret Service Agents near the White House gates.”

Nasire Best, 21, armed with a revolver, walked up to a security checkpoint near the intersection of 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue when he opened fire at about 6:10 p.m.

Best fired off several shots before he was taken down by fast-acting agents stationed at one of the various checkpoints on the perimeter of the White House complex.

Best, who believed he was Jesus Christ, was well known by the Secret Service for repeatedly loitering around various entry posts and had violated a previous court order to stay away from the White House.

He was busted back in July 2025 when he attempted to cross a White House checkpoint without authorization, failing to listen to officers’ orders and claiming he was Jesus Christ as he begged to be arrested, the Associated Press reported.
