To version 2.0 I did none of the above ideas.... What I did perform were some bug fixes and added capacity limits. So now each chest can have a maximum capacity. You don't want to have a small jewelry box holding 50 broad swords, do you?  I didn't think so. So now you can have a maximum capacity based it the 'weight' of your items, and limit the items that can even go into a chest by 'size'.
