Peruvian family dog turns out to be Andean fox

A family in Peru who thought they had bought a dog soon realised they had an Andean fox on their hands after it attacked other animals in their area.
The Sotelos bought the puppy for $13 (£9.50) from a small shop in the capital, Lima, believing it was a purebred husky.
But after a while, they received complaints from neighbours about their so-called dog named Run Run.
The canine impostor has since been caught by wildlife officials.
It became clear there was a case of mistaken identity when Run Run began to chase guinea pigs, chickens and ducks to kill or eat them, provoking the anger of neighbours.
"About a month ago, a woman from around here said that it ate three of her guinea pigs. And then two or three days ago, a local grandmother came and said that it killed guinea pigs," owner Maribel Sotelo told Reuters news agency.
Run Run turned out to be an Andean fox, which has thin legs, a bushy tail, a pointed head and prominent ears, but it is more closely related to wolves and jackals than foxes.
The National Forest and Wildlife Service in Peru says wild animals are often bought by traffickers from Amazonian areas and are illegally sold in Lima.

Britney Spears released from 13-year conservatorship

Britney Spears has described the termination of a legal arrangement that controlled many aspects of her life for 13 years as "the best day ever".
"I think I'm gonna cry," she told her 35 million Instagram followers.
A judge in Los Angeles on Friday ended the conservatorship set up by the 39-year-old singer's father in 2008 with immediate effect.
Fans had gathered outside the LA court to support Spears, who had described the guardianship as abusive.
Her father Jamie earlier said it was "necessary", but agreed it was time for her "to re-take control of her life".
"Her life was in shambles and she was in physical, emotional, mental and financial distress," lawyers representing Jamie Spears said in earlier court filings.
The conservatorship had power over her finances and career decisions plus major personal matters, such as her visits with her teenage sons and whether she can get remarried.

As part of the ruling, Judge Penny said an accountant who served as a temporary conservator should retain some powers to settle ongoing financial issues.

13 years is quite a long time for being treated as a kid while still being an adult.
Anyway, no state should be able to tell you whether or not you can marry or remarry at any given time.
