I feel a bit silly, (and conceded x_x) making a post about this, so I just decided to sandwich it into this art post instead!! I wanted to provide some sorta explanation just in case someone replies to one of my posts or something, and I'm not online to reply back for a while. Steam broke down on my computer (it doesn't support Windows 8.1 anymore, evidentially. They discontinued updates last year, but I was able to still use it for a bit more until it officially went kuput.) So, naturally, I am no longer able to run my trusty, and beloved RPG XP since Steam won't even start up anymore ;( can't even uninstall it actually, as Steam has to open to do that too. I live in a financially strapped situation, and don't think I'll be able to get a new computer very soon. (But a gal can dream!) So, I probably won't be on the forums much since I won't be working on my RPGM projects for the foreseeable future :( I still wanna follow what everyone is up to, and plus any progress on the questions I've asked though. So this isn't goodbye, by any means! I just kind of wanted to add some context here though, for the lack of posts. But, anywho! I hope those of you on the forums have been well lately!

I wanted to introduce you all to a very tough fella:

Older OSes losing support is scary when you don't have money to upgrade or replace. Speaking of tech troubles, i recently had a scare as my PC was lagging up and then shutting down, THANKFULLY upon inspection by THE EXPERTS:tm: it appears it was just a two and a half years build up of dust, haha!

So I decided to get an upgraded cooling system, a better SSD and a large GFX card update. It cost a fair bit but all is well now and it runs smoother than butter!

Best of luck with whatever creative projects you choose to pursue. Also you could legally just pirate the non-steam version of XP, given that you legally own it- it wouldn't even be a problem since you already have the legitimate copy, you just can't use it because steam is cringe!

Sorry for INSAINO LATE REPLY, I have been so busy with work, plus the holidays. (They were fun, but honestly kind of glad they're over lol)

I appreciate your sympathies, and yes, Steam is a huge butt! >:/
It totally sucks you had the tech issues with your own computer too. But that's really awesome you were able to make the upgrades instead of having to trash completely. It sounds like a cool setup! Custom PCs, or just altered ones always impress me haha (a few years ago I fell down the SSD vs. HDD rabbit hole, and became interested in what went into putting computers together, before that I had no idea something of the nature could be done! It's magic! WITCHCRAFT!)

Thankfully my dumb-dumb brain realized I could look for the demo version, so I've used that for the last week, but NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT, PIRACY SOUNDS MUCH BETTER. I was just worried about any weirdo-anti-piracy trips that might be present in pirated copies, but I don't think anything like that should be in it (hopefully lol)

But anyway, thank you for the reply!! And I hope your holidays were very pleasant and blessed ones. And a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I dunno if there's a rule against posting a whole buncha threads, but I'll try to keep my art threads on here to a minimum, so I'm not just spamming heh-heh.

I tried scheduling posts on another site I've used a couple years named "Inkblot". Initially, it seemed like a cool upstart art website. But it's stayed in disrepair, with bugs and broken features for years. So meh. The scheduling feature in fact, decided to crap out on me. But it may have been a blessing in disguise, cause it inspired me to post the comics I was scheduling here instead! BEHOLD:

Wow! *This post* was just suggested to me underneath my own post here, and this guy's stuff is so good! It looks like he hasn't logged into his profile since 2016. A shame. His work is very distinctive and rugged. Maybe I could crawl through his old posts one day and discover more. Anyway, dunno why I felt the need to point out and comment on it. Haha this one had a lot of moving parts. Literally. Don't let the style fool you, it really took some finagling with the timing of all the various animations. :3
