 Stolen Mail?
#1
A package of mine was signed for. It was sent usps and tracking number says it's been delivered. I never received it, could it have been stolen? I can't check my mailbox because I don't have a key. Could it be at the post office? The main thing that makes me think this is because it says it was delivered and signed for. Am I worrying too much? If it's in the mailbox, I can just wait by it with an ID, but if not then... Is it lost?

UPS is a different company than the USPS. UPS is a private company not affiliated with the govt like the United States Postal service. As such, the package noted as 'delivered' will likely not show up in the post office.

I'm sorry to say that UPS may not be at fault, even with someone else signing. If you recently moved and went through a service such as paypal, it is up to you to change the delivery address. If it was an old delivery address and was delivered to that address, they can claim no-fault.

However, if you did change the delivery address to your current one, you would still have to go through UPS to retrieve the merchandise. While they state it was delivered, you will have to get them to confirm the address where it was delivered and obtain the signature of the individual who signed.

The package may have insurance on it to cover the loss.

Yeah, my mom works with USPS and that's where it was sent from not UPS. My bad, I didn't specify that. Oh, wait, I did specify. :P Looks like you just misread.

EEP! My bad! :P Though the whole 'SIGNED' thing caught me as a UPS thingie.

'I can't check my mailbox because I don't have a key.' That is odd. *shrugs*

But yep... it looks like the post office is your best bet.

Ok, thanks, I'll have to get someone to drive me, but I'm almost sure they would have left a sticker or something... I think they just messed up.
And yeah, I lost the key.... :-/

Update: Found my mail! It was in the mailbox  So I was just being paranoid (because my mail has been stolen before!). But I still wonder who signed for it? :s
