Persona: Fragile Dreamers Fan game ConceptPersona: Fragile Dreamers Fan Game by Rose erin Okies so Ive been thinking hard about all the conceptual stuff in the game: with story written alot of Gameplay stuff had to be decided.With all of this already contemplated I need to chronically organize a list of some of these ideas. First Is Game play in the “Nomal” Section of play. where nothing fantastical happens and its daily stuff that helps you grow as a person.
-First off is the Day by day stuff
There are 6 sections of time
The first is -Dawn- Early morning rituals like [Hygiene] [breakfast] and [watching TV] can be done.raising personalities and lowering others. Your condition changes depends on how often one is done,because always being [hygienic] can make you {hungry] and {bored}. Ignoring one for three days will make it degenerate a point. there are only 5 points.
Next is -Morning- You can explore -Districts taken over by demons- from this point on till -evening-.Depending on when you go will have a different effect; for this youll have the Enemies cut in half bu theyll be focused and fast.Enemies that are powerful or magical will be excluded. You can also go to work(which will eat up two other time sections)Depending on your job a parameter will go up, a social link event, and varying amounts of pay. You can also explore Tokyo to trigger events ,shop, visit the velvet room or apply for work.
-Midday- . Exploring districts now will mean -Magical- demons will be running about. Traps may also be placed in the district. you can eat lunch to keep yourself [Fed] or go to the Gym to stay [Fit], also the library to raise [Knowledge][Understanding] or [diligence].Some Slinks are also avialable now.
-AfterNoon- you can apply or go to a job that will consume the last two time sections.Exploring now will have alot of demons but theyll be mixed and may be inflicted with a status ailment.Other then that it is simular to the above time Section.
-Night- The club is open at night raising your [Comfort] Parameter also you may eat at a Diner or go to an event to keep your self {Fed} and {Happy}exploring now means Strong enemies will be available,however [The Reaper] will be on a random Floor. Slinks can be found and raised now as well. There is only one job open now and it only eats this time Section.anything you do now will make you tired, going home now instead will alow you one more time section.
-Midnight- (actually from 10 pm onward) at midnight your allowed several things. you can now Go online to play a mini game that will increase every parameter and keep you {happy}.Special fusion can happen only now, and vary from day to day.(meaning fusions with special bonus’)Exploring this late will make you tired and skip the morning time Section as a result, but the district will have More Chests, focus on defensive and curios type demons, and will host a mini bosswhich will Change every month and increase a parameter.if defeated then the boss will drop a Rare Item.
Now that time is out of the way lets go through what all these actions and parameters are exactly.
Starting with [Personality]
this is the parameter set that decides who you can talk to and who will ignore you.
they are as such and all have 6 Levels
[Knowledge] being smart will allow you to gain superior info on demons. and at certain lvls grant S.link access.
[Understanding] allows for superior negotiation tactics and at certain lvls grant S.link access.
[Courage]allows less suseptability to stat ailments and at certain lvls grant S.link access.
[Comfort]give special skills to you when fighting with allies and at certain lvls grant S.link access.
[Diligence]makes you more likely to take initiative and at certain lvls grant S.link access.
[Hope]grants better skills to be transferred in fusions of Maxed Slinks.
once all six are maxed out it grants the 6 way fusion of the Persona [Buddha,the enlightened.of the hermit arcana]
Next is -Traits- and they are able to go up and down and can only be maxed if balanced right.they-unlike [Personality]- dont transfer to a second playthrough.they are…
Once maxed, you will be allowed to fuse [Dushur, lord of the mountain.]
Then of course is the most important.-Social Links.-
These are people that you connect with and will become closer too through the year.each major development grants a rank up, until maxing it out at lvl 10.Each person is categorized by they’re arcana {just like you, your personas and the demons you face.} all the arcana are used with a few automatically being developed as you play, and others requiring -personality- or -Traits- to talk to them. at the end of each link it grants the Ultimate Persona under that arcana to be fused. and gives you an item that carries over, for bonus Slink advantages and events.
forging a -Romantic relationship- allows certain advantages as well. boosted Exp bonus, Ultimate Equipment fine tuned for that arcana, and finaly the second playthrough allows for you to spend time wit your lover in special events. all of which will boost your -Traits- Making managing them easier. You can forge this bond with any of the Social links.
The reverse effect is also in play, piss your friend off and the arcana could reverse, resulting in No exp bonuses in fusion and the character will be harder to find and avoidable in conversation.Doing this to your lover will create a broken heart, same effects, however you only get one chance to repair it,failing meaning the arcana is locked and you cannot fuse that arcana anymore.Itll also force monsters under the sign to automatically be the toughest version. The second playthrough you wont find that character after meeting them the first time. Doing this to social links in your party will make them un-controllable and -selfish-. and their Pleasant dialog will be skipped.The second playthrough makes them more open and you can repair them then,unlike out of party Slinks.
Tokyo is a big city, and just cause your not in the heart of it doesnt mean there isnt plenty for you to do.the places you can go to all have advantages(some of them of course you wont revisit after youve leveled up your -personality-) Here are some of the places you can visit and their effects.
Tayumi Diner: Keeps you [Fed] and boosts [Understanding]
Apartment building:Home in other terms .theres three apartments and going to them can have an Slink event or other events.Going to Kaguimi building,changes the Time section(youll be home)
SMK Arcade: Slink events or other events, you can play the arcade games to boost your [Diligence]-move time forward 1 section.
Tokyo Hospital: heals wounds and Improves [Hygiene]
Club Static: Available at [Night] or [midnight] raises [Comfort]
Job Center: find job postings and apply.you can also work here ,which raises [Courage]
Amariyu Elementary school: slink events and other events can happen here.as a job this raises [courage] and your [attention]trait.also the pay is 30,000 Y (only available on Monday-Saturday:in the morning through to midday)
Construction site #2: A new higher learning facility is being constructed by the Kirijo group. over seen by Mitsuru Kirijo.2 Slinks are available here.boosts [Diligence] and gives an item to you. available on (Monday,Wednesday, and sunday, during Midday through to night.)12000 pay
Public Library:Raise your [Knowledge] or you can work there for 20000 Y and an Slink event.
Akasumi Noa Shrine: Slink events, and other events.raises [hope] and you can pray to boost another -personality- point.
Recycling and disposal Company: Work for the trash company picking up debree in a [Dark ally] slink events can happen here and raise your [Courage]Paying you 8000( avialable on Mondays and Fridays, in the Dawn.)
Modest park: A park, its effect depends on time section[Dawn]= [Comfort] ,morning =[understanding] Midday =[gives you an item or slink event]night =[Knowledge and diligence], and midnight =[courage and hope]
Ryu-imouka psychiatric: eats up two time sections but grants you comfort and hope, and also gives you items, like medicine, for curing status ailments.( a maxed social link persona will also be granted a free upgrade in a parameter.(but which persona depends on the day in the month it is-goes in order) as in feb first = Fool persona Feb 2nd =Magician persona)(if a month has more then the arcana it loops over until the next month.)
District opening: The worm holes that create a wall of distortion they appear in 10 locations(finding them is easy) They are spiraling Black and yellow and glow slightly. No one else but persona users can see it.once a district is defeated a new area of the Map is unlocked for use(withnew stores and Slinks avilable)
Grass roots demonology and Voodoo store: Here you can find slink events and Paint masks which hold your cards. Inside is the [Velvet room] where fusion can be done.once you make a particular mask you can replace it here at the grass roots.[masks],[Paint], and [materials] are sold here too. though certain paints are only dropped in battles.theres also an interesting mini game here which will amp your [courage],but knock you cold till night time.
Community center and stadium: a baseball stadium that also hosts social events. Alot of Non-social link event happen here granting -Personality- boosts, Items and equipment, and promising -trait- boosts. depending on the Day.
That is all the areas you can visit normally.
After retaking control over a district, a new street is available.ussualy with more shops and services.and they always host the Slink that is in your party thats relevant to that part of the story.
that is all for the Daily stuff; the other areas are not unique enough to explian further.

You are the hero of this story, You will be responsible for your actions as well as your party.
You have a unique ability no other has been able to do.You can Substitute persona's By Wearing their Mask! While your not proficient in personae not under your arcana, you can use them more efficiently and give others persona's as well.
Your story is yet to be written, but so far you have had an ok childhood and you love your parents.
[Yoshima]
Yoshima is saved by you once you awaken to your power. Soon after he decides to join in your fight.
He has had a rough life thus far, struggling with inadequacies and having just lost his Job and family because of them.
The guy is timid and shy but he is adamant that he wont quit, again.
[Johnny Karma]
Johnny is an american Who is in the research of personae and how to utilize the power for more then fighting.
He is a prideful, fun-loving person. Who has the odd un-explianed ability to materialize his Blood to make weapons and whatever. He (Graciously) calls the power "Gore". He uses his blood to fight and is A strong front row fighter.
[Kisa ]
Kisa is a young run away, who you save from a demon, when they attack her home street.
Despite this she is very distant to the others, clinging to you and you only.
She seems to have a special power of her own.
Her past is locked in secrecy.
[Mimiru]
Mimiru is slightly self centered. She supplies the gang with equipment in return for saving her favorite store.
Shes the daughter of a rich Banker, who is helping the Korijo family place more schools in rural and urban areas.
(well better schools atleast)
She uses her favorite Violin To fight them.
[Aeronus]
Aeronus is an artist, handle {the demon painter}.
he makes a living by painting people, Uninterested in the concept of a home, he uses all his money to support his life and art only.He joins you once Commissioned by Mimiru to Paint their journey.
He is stand offish in combat mostly using the persona power to help or aid, rather then to fight.
[Jiyouni]
Jiyouni is a highschool girl taking up journalism.
She helps you by analyzing Demon battle patterns, and assisting your Decisions.
She can also Call the other team to replace yours if your no longer able to keep up.
[Igor]
Igor Assists you in creating new personas.
at first he can do much for you, but when Frey Aeronus Joins up, igor gives him the {Paints} and frey paints them .
His assistant { Alicia } Helps him do tasks, when not making new personas.
[Alicia]
Alicia is Igors assistant. Not much is really addressed by her, but it's possible to have her join your team.
She uses a fencing epee. and harsh, cold Bufu skills.
Terminology
the game use a different Terminology then most RPGs.
Here are the terms for actions that are basic.
The terms for equipment and attributes are also some what different.
Money in the Game is the Japanese Yen.
Shield is Replaced By an Evoker>Which activates your mask. an Evoker is a musical instrument.
Helmet is replaced with Mask Masks are painted or found and can be switched in order to summon up different powers.
MDEF is replaced with RES = Resistance.
Other then that terms are the same.
Arcanas and how they effect you.
Arcanas Are utilized by Restricting the characters to personae unser their arcana.
Arcana also controls Your social link status.
In this game social links work by a person representing an arcana.Your daily life at work and with friends adversely effects your performance against and with that arcanas personae or Demons.

Scripts needed and How I want them to be.
I need a menu script that moves Images, and changes certian images when equipting certian things.
(In this case a mask(Helmet) Should Show the persona.PNG in the menu. that corresponds with it.
It needs to have each character their own status screen. That does the same.
The Menu its self should be at the bottom.
In this script it needs to separate the Helmet Equipment from the rest of the equipment and give it its own option in the menu.Helmets(Mask) needs to link with Summoning so that the player can only Summon the persona of the mask they are wearing.
Battle system edit.
Im using Charlie fleeds ctb. However I need it to be worked over sense Im no good at scripting.
Theres several things I need to add to the basic function of battle.
The Weakness of Demons and players needs to Knock them "Down"
allowing one more hit from the character.The string has to work on anything still not down.And of course When every enemy or ally is down the entire party does a "Superart".The Super art is called rush.
After which everything is standing up.
Some Artistic layout changes would be nice. Placing parts of the Ctb in different places or having some kinda effects.
When stricking a critical It needs to bring up the characters Critical_(Character).png
So itd be nice if someone showed me how to do that.
The Png will be a specific Critical_Main.png, being the players.
I have some other requests for this edit, but really can't explain it in text to well.

Why don't you make it so that equiping a mask calls a common event that changes the character's charset to look like the persona? You don't need a script for that :)

*Its set in 2012.Do the math. The kirijo group is present here, and a few cameos will make an appearance from those games. Specifically those that would make sense to see.
* Stylistically its ganna be Ps1 era-ish. so think Persona 2,and you got what Im looking for stylisticly. however game play will mesh the two eras of persona.
*Depends on you.If you fail the world is doomed so their'll be alot of corpses.But if you succeed there will be few corpses. But if your talking about how much gore, then only average. Realistic-ish.I'd say its be rated T by the Esrb.
*School (and highschool for that matter) is an anime cliche, it works in other persona games because they work with it.However I Don't feel like I could do the setting justice. The characters are written very dark. Some with permanent scars, so Im not sure the school setting is a good one. Though some of the characters do go to school (Mimiru, kisa , and jiyuni)
That and Mitsuru is there to clean them up so I'm sure the school is fine.
