I seriously wont Decide this stuff until like summer.XP
Singing wont tell me if your a good actor. or able to fit the cast.
Pull lines from any source just as long as it coveys emotion and is characteristic.itll be good.

ok! i'll find something. does it have to be anime? or can it be something else?
and how do you intend to distribute this game? if it has recorded lines, won't that make the filesize huge?

You can reduce the quality of spoken files to relatively low kb/s if you need to make it smaller. 64kb/s is acceptable for spoken mp3/ogg files.
Yeah, the file size will be bigger with voice acting, but it'll be worth it I think. :)
I'll send you some samples next week. I just ordered my new headset with a noise cancelling microphone. :D

I'll send you some samples next week. I just ordered my new headset with a noise cancelling microphone. :D Im great at getting rid of background noise. alil bg noise is fine, airconditioners and the like can be edited out. its the peaking noises I dont want: loud tvs, traffic, baby crying. stuff like that.
Popiing like when you use Ps and bs. or when yelling or screaming: try to reduce any peaking on those things. move the mic to the side so the air doesnt hit it, lower the volume on the recorder.
I plan n having a huge game. and prolly will distribute it Simply by deleting the editor file. Im not sure compression through Xp is a good idea so itll be zipped. Personally since itll be free, It really wont matter that they can get the raw files stuff. but I dont yet/
No it doesnt have to be an anime line: you can pull lines from different sources. try for different role styles as almost ever role is applicable here. Most of the character are japonese, however I have an indian, a few english and americans, and an italian here. So theres a wide range of people who can be casted for. including older people ,Children and such... pull lines from harry potter even. its about your ability to act and portray Character.

A tip I have for reducing "pop"s, "clicks" etc from harsh consonants (such as B, P etc) is to set a compressor with an almost instant attack. ;)

do anything in your power to lessen any editing I need to do.
Ill be in charge of all effects and quality controll I dont wanna have to struggle with pops and peeps
Nooise is easy, Peaking is more delicate.

But other then that nothing good for normal sounds. and its hard to find sounds of the same quality on line. clothes and other such things will be needed.
thatd be cool if you can do that for me. ^-^

Yo Rosair. I know the game is being made again from scratch, but as promised, here's a short sample of a few different things.

anyway your accent is very much a distraction. I may stick you with Frey Aeronus sense hes european and doesnt have to act too far into the emotional spectrum.
Frey is wandering painter, he values life, beauty, and experience. He's the voice of reason and source of insight. He has no attachment to money or vain possessions. But he's also hard to approach sense most people are the example of all his loathing, Originally dismissing the party. His role through the game is to overcome his need to push people away.
His role is one of the later half of the game.
