mostly, I like the rhythm. Franz Ferdinand is pretty mediocre most of the time, but now and then they come out with something really good. Take Me Out is probably the only other song of theirs that most people have time for. I used to be pretty huge on them, though.

Right now I'm going back to the music I listened to as a teenager. Mainly bubbly pop songs in various languages that sounds like they should be (or are) on the DDR soundtrack. English, Japanese, Icelandic, Russian, ect. Maybe some Spanish, if I can dig up anything suitable. I'm hoping that it will force back the image of a cute, lovable, pink puffball Kirby after watching There Will Be Brawl. Or I'm going to have nightmares.

it's pretty barebones rap-rock with no special frills, but I like the story. the progression out of childhood, while the subject gets drunk on his own capabilities. not enough stuff about growing up where the kid makes all the wrong choices and becomes something terrible.
