Some Mornings (Poem)
#1
Some Mornings

Some mornings she leaves tears,
upon the flowers
and neutral stalks of grass.

Tributes to the hours
of solitary wandering
that took her past
these same, night-dead flowers;
these same stalks of stubborn grass.

Some mornings she leaves tears
and hides her face
behind the sun’s bright mask.
I saw the boys of summer in their ruin. Dylan Thomas.
