The beauty of the Amethyst Maiden's mapping always brightens my day.   And who knows?  It has been a long time since I did any spriting like this.... about a year.  I don't even consider myself a spriter.  Why not give it a try?  Just 'a part' of a character would to for a start.

And yep, Steel, it's a Half-Kaiser template.  While I'm working on the jacket, I'm testing it within my CharGen Ex tool.

Here's the character so far.  I still need to work out the side views for the jacket. And this girl's hacket also has a gold dragon emblazoned on the back.



And then the baseball cap and crazy hair she has.  Not sure about working on high-heels though.

This Pop star from K-DA is coming along fairly well.  I had a glitch with her tube-top and her slacks.  I forgot one frame where her slacks exposed her left thigh.  And I haven't done any pixelwork padding on the left and right directional sides for her jacket. And as of NOW (because I just edited this post), the jacket now has proper pixelwork quilting from all four directions.  Gve it a try!




There's still work on the dragon embroidery as a later option. But how's this for the animation? And you can see some other colored jackets.




She still needs REAL shoes...  Not these I've been using.  She sports matching High-tops with white trim.  And then there's the baseball cap and the crazy-ponytail hair.

 The benefits of using CharGen Ex (found in our tools section).  I draw sections and put em together.  Hue adjustment and RGB controls for the win!

Well, I was testing the newest release of mkxpplus as usual and was able to play a game with a 960 * 720 window resolution!

But, there's always a but, I found out something terrible. A ghost made Aluxes make a quick choice!

I GOT A NEW PAIR OF SHOES!!!

And I put them on the girl from K-DA!

Yep, my venture into spriting continues as I worked out a pair of high tops with the shoe's tongue sticking out a bit.  The shoes, if you saw the music video Bounty Hunter Lani posted a couple weeks ago, are high-top sneakers with a white vertical stripe on the side and a brass buckle over the tongue.  What I have here doesn't have either.  But I wanted to make sure its working.



How does she look?  'Cause the animation looks pretty much on point.



So yeah, the jacket needs a golden dragon on the back and some small gold patches on the arms.  The shoes need the white stripe and brass buckles.  And speaking of buckles, I don't have her thick white belt with the V-shaped buckle either.

And then there's the baseball cap and hair with the wicked stiff ponytail.

But I think it's coming along fine.

Oh, you damn right.     I work to get things right.  But who the heck IS she?  K/DA is a 4-girl group, with two from the Korean pop band (G)Idle, and she's one of them.  If I give her a name, I want it to be something more accurate than Subway Girl.

Still, she still needs work.  There's no white belt with the gold/brass buckle.  No brass buckles on her high-top shoes nor vertical stripe on the sides of the shoes.  I don't have her wild hair, the dragon embroidery on the back of her jacket, the bangle on her right wrist, nor her hat.


*SOUND OF CAR TIRES SCREECHING TO A HALT*

Hold up???





A work in progress hat.  It doesn't have the embroidered K.DA on it.  That 'may' be an option later.

OH, did I forget to mention, I have been making the outfit pieces separately so I can mix and match and change their color at will in my Chargen EX tool?  Yep.... I might release the individual pieces with others.  Right now, I'm concentrating on her outfit.  But I might make the other girl's pieces.

I know.. I know... I still have the belt and the single bangle she wore to deal with along with the accents and her crazy hair.  But I think it's coming along nice.

Now I have a new render of Akali from K/DA.  Yep, Subway Girl does indeed have a name.



Yep, we have both a closeup at 3X scale showing off the new gold bracelet around her right wrist, just like in the music video.  And you can see her animation right next to her scaled image.

And below, you can try out Akali's current WIP Characterset.  Akali doesn't really have hair styled like this, but it is closer than what I've used before.  She has long bangs on BOTH sides of her head, but no long hair on the back except for her wicked and wild ponytail.



Again, I have her jacket, Hat, and all other items as separate items.... for later release.

Here's Akali with a bit of a new Hairdo.  Ye, I have her wyldChild hair tied in the back.



It isn't textured, so I just have it as a solid color.  No detail work for hair separations.  And I don't have side view hair shots as yet.
