Sometimes even Android apps are smarter than you are... So make sure you don't keep your credit card data on your Android phone and make sure you are opting out of the app services the right way! And if you read something about fleeceware, exactly what might charge you even after uninstalling an app, then make sure you have no such tricky app installed on your phone!

Got Camero or callCam installed on your Android phone? You see, uninstall them or even better, run an antivirus to get rid of them! They've been spying on you! Did you take a selfie while naked or half naked? I'm sorry to tell you that the SideWinder hacking group already took a close look at you... Seattle, you're NOT safe! Another shooter, probably the same guy that attacked people on Tuesday, showed up and killed a woman already. Time will tell whether the rest of the victims will survive the attack...

Hm. Well, I did a little look at the Wiki link MetalRenard posted about tensions in Iran. I wasn't aware of the 1949 Assassination attempt which prompted the Shah's addition of security which certain individuals didn't like. I don't think many did, and I had to scrounge to get anything about it other than it being a reporter. It turns out that the Ayatollahs were already attempting to destable Iran and were going for power even then! The would-be assassin was Nasser Fakhrara'ei who worked for a newspaper owned by the son-in-law of Ayatollah Kashani. Yep, the Ayatollahs were like that even then, the original destabilizing force, and 4 years before the 1953 Coup previously mentioned.

I don't know how many watched the hearings yesterday, but in less than two hours the House case was criticized for not showing exculpatory evidence, improper procedures that the Supreme court already discussed years before, fabrications. Hell, Schiff kept talking about a White House meeting? Zelensky himself changed the meet to the one in Warsaw on September 1st and they knew it.

The Syrian civil war is now 8 years old, as of January 26th, which is exactly how long I've been keeping track of it. I don't want to hijack the thread, so I'll put my comments in a spoiler.

I don't know a damn thing about football, or Pokemon, or whats going on with Game of Thrones, but I've been studying Syria in great detail since the very minute the internationalists declared war on a sovereign nation. The most fascinating thing is how this occupation has rolled out, the vast number of motivations of all the nation states involved, the gigantic role social media has played, plus the number of lies Western media has peppered against this country and their leadership. That's not to say I defend Bashar Al-Assad, I too consider him the textbook definition of a soft dictator, but I don't appreciate propagandists kicking the truth around like some kind of dead horse.
That's not to say "fake news" but the US media conglomerates are experts at telling 1 truth and 4 lies every time a big event happens in Syria. It's very rare nowadays that Syria is even mentioned, and I don't think 99% of Americans know where it is on a map. A giant desert state conceived and organized by European (mostly French) powers, roughly the size of North Dakota, and everybody wants to control a piece of it. While it is indeed a majority Arabic population, you can tell the French and the British had a huge influence in matters of civil engineering as well as educational and governmental structure. It is indeed quite a fascinating thing to see when you start discovering it, especially if you're familiar with France.
In a little less than 2 months, the nation of Syria will be celebrating their 100th anniversary. Two decades from now, it will probably still be occupied by the internationalists lead by the United States, France and Israel. While the Russians do have good intent for being there, they need to be careful about biting off more than they can chew because this could easily become an operation that may wind up crushing the Russian economy and affecting their projected force strength in other East Asian regions. The United States will be stuck in this nation for decades to come because withdrawing the troops, at this point, would trigger an International Great Depression era like the world has never seen before.
Sorry for the lengthy post, I've just been keeping track of this for a very long time and we've just crossed that 8 year mark. I'm not sure if they'll ever become a stable sovereign nation again but I do pray for the innocent civilians caught up in this mess, especially those who have lost loved ones.
Iranians are a joke as soon as they leave their own backyard. The Iranian Quds force is the most malnourished group of soldiers I've ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes on (thanks to heavy pressure from international sanctions.) So long as we keep them isolated in their own country, and we don't have leadership stupid enough to call for invasion, they are only a threat via the use of paid mercenaries.
I've heard of many viral pandemics over the years, enough to come down with a bad case of normalcy bias. However, I can't figure out if the Chinese response is blown way out of proportion or if the disease is truly contagious and deadly enough to justify such a response. Entire cities shut down? 56+ million unable to move between regions? Governments weren't reacting in this fashion when it came to Ebola, SARS, Swine Flu or Zika. Then again, I'm not an epidemiologist and I sure as heck don't want to see anybody I know dying from this nasty virus. Whatever happens in China needs to stay in China and I hope them the best.

Well, Kainers posted that "US media conglomerates are experts at telling 1 truth and 4 lies", about Syria. Well, they aren't limited to Syria. Just in time to try and pressure Senators during the Impeachment, the New York Times came out with a story with an anonymous source to try to extend the trial longer than it needs. But here's a spoiler showing the degree of truth the NY Times delivers when it comes to the guy being impeached:

The New York Times was never fond of Trump. Like a number of the Mainstream media, they had previously fostered the Russia Collusion hoax that was debunked by Robert Mueller. Mind you, that cost the American Taxpayers $32 Million on a Hoax story.
On October 2016, they implied that Trump had not paid income taxes for 18 years. Later, tax return pages leaked to MSNBC ultimately showed that Trump actually paid a higher rate than Democrats Bernie Sanders and President Obama.
On February 2017, they falsly reported about supposed contacts between Trump campaign staff and “senior Russian intelligence officials.”
They botched a Byline in April 2017 when they referred to Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, as Trump’s wife.
On June 2017, they published an Opinion piece about the shooting of Republicans at a baseball field which wounded Steve Scalice. While the gunman was found to be vehemently opposed to Trump, the piece put forth a story against a Republican Political Activist group by Sarah Palin. She is currently filing defamation charges against the Times.
On June 2017, they claimed that Trump told Jeff Sessions to call the Russia Investigagion a "Matter" instead of an "Investigation", where it was really Obama and Loretta Lynch regarding Hillary Clinton's investigation.
In July 2017, they reported Hillary Clinton's claim, as if it was fact, that 17 agencies concluded that Russia orchestrated election year attacks.
On September 2017, they reported Democrat leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi called President Trump about an immigration issue. Trump actually made the call to Pelosi.
On March 2018, they had an article about a hypothetical family whose tax bill would rise nearly $4000 under Trump's tax plan. However, their calculations were severely wrong and their taxes would instead drop by $43.
On March, 2018, they claimed Trump's pick for CIA director waterboarded an Islamic Extremist. However, she wasn't assigned to the prison until the prisoner had in fact been released.
On May 2018, they made claim that Trump called immigrants "animals", when the truth was they took exerpts from his comments which were specifically about the murderous criminal gang MS-13.
On May 2018, they posted photos of immigrant children in cages as if they were newly taken under the Trump administration. The article and photos were actually taken in 2014 under the Obama administration.
On May 2018, they reported the estimated size of a Trump rally to be 1,000 people. There were actually 5,500 people or more in attendance.
On September 2018, they falsely reported that a man, Mark Judge, testified he remembered an incident more than 30 year ago in which Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is accused of assault. Judge actually said the opposite: he does not remember such an incident, and that the allegations are “absolutely nuts.”
On January 2019, they had to correct a story that falsely claimed Trump adviser Paul Manafort had wanted to share polling data with a Russian oligarch close to President Putin.
On August 2019, they retracted the headline “Trump Urges Unity vs. Racism” as he denounced White Supremacy, a headline that was actually favorable to Donald Trump. But complaints from the top brass and prominent liberals made them change it.
On September 2019, and citing 'anonymous' sources, they repeated claims that the CIA had to remove a top U.S. spy from Russia in 2017 because of concern over President Trump’s handling of classified information. They and others kept publishing contradictory content while the CIA refutes the story.
On September 2019, they published another story accusation about an incident decades ago involving Brett Kavanaugh. However, the Times never spoke to the alleged victim, and that the alleged victim had told friends she had no recollection of any such event.
On December 2019, they had to correct a report it published relaying that people who voted for Donald Trump no longer support him. Their featured example was a man who – it turns out – never voted for Trump in the first place.
This topic is about the news after all. Unfortunately, there are those who have grudges and cannot be trusted to deliver the truth.
