FOUR-LEGGED DRAGON RESOURCE


Introduction
As stated in this thread, over the years I've found some good dragon sprites on the web, but none of them were exactly what I was seeking.
There is one by Famikawe on Deviantart (and it's prior form), that was the nearest to my own idealization, since it's a true piece of art, but can't be used commercially.

So I set out to make my own version, using the Rtp's "099-Monster13" as base, and below is the resulting character.

As soon as I can, I'll try to do some recolors of this one and update this thread, so stay tuned! Any suggestions are welcomed.

I personally like doing my sprites from scratch and while battle sprites are much better left to being custom, I needed a way of speeding up character walk/run sprites so I decided to work on a base.

standard size is 36x70 for each character.

Kustom XP & VX & ACE

Introduction

This is a humble script that should let you make customized weapons and armors, equip them via a modified version of Scene_Equip, and go fight as many monsters as Aluxes can kill before feeling sick of it. Tongue sticking out

Thanks to KWorkshop you can also make new weapons and armors or even any ordinary items, reforge broken equipment, lift curses, get healed. KyoGemBoost lets you add gemstones to your heroes and probably to weapons and armors, too!! Don't forget to sharpen your swords!

You can now activate gem slots via script calls or by opening the GemStoneMenu! Right, you may also define custom equipment names for smith's works or a tech's gadgets. You're even able to turn fellow heroes into events that can heal your party (for free as of now I think).

Just go check out each script's instructions to learn more about how to use it properly!

You don't need extra scripts? Well, you can now pick the Kustom XP Kiwi demo! It keeps stuff simple by never adding any gems or elemental stuff.

  Help/Advise for My Run Cycle

I've spent the last few days working on a full run cycle for my game's protagonist, and despite using a reference, the movements just look so... off. I am entry level when it comes to stuff like this (this is literally the first thing I've ever animated and it shows xD) so I was hoping to get some help, or advise on how to make it look more smooth/realistic.



The sprite animation runs through an event as a parallel process rather than a script. It's looped on a conditional branch, with the still image (1) showing by default when the player is still, and looping (2), (3), (4), (5), (4), (3), for the run animation.

Note: Because of the letterbox overlay, the legs are never fully visible, so I am leaving them as is for now and focusing more on the movement of the dress.

Introduction

This scriptlet lets you setup special doors that can only be open with special access cards.

Features

By getting access cards and picking the right one you can open special doors right after hitting the OK button in front of the door. To make a new card with default data, you only need to add the corresponding item to your party's bag as usual.

A hero can only hold a single access card, but you can keep as many cards as you wish in your party's bag. Only the current party leader's card can open any special doors if his card meets the requirements.

In all versions you can use one of several decoders in order to hack special locked doors. (Be sure you include the corresponding GiveAway script in your game project then!) If you fail to unlock the special door too many times, it will send an alert (by activating a predefined switch), and it's up to you how to setup the "arrest the criminal party" event :P

You may it find it curious that hacking the door locking system (a pseudo electronic lock found near the current door) lets it open the door automatically.

In XP version you can also enter a honeycomb like pass code if you like.

Don't forget to configure the corresponding Constants found in the Klear module.

After a nice talk in IRC (and I would encourage you all to show up nightly at around 9:00 PM Central - 11:00 PM Central) DerVVulfman and I were talking about my frustration with the 'big bulbous heads' that most pixel templates have, and why I turned to pre-rendered stuff just to ensure that proportions were the way they should look for a person. Well... I started working that day on a template that combined several shading techniques, a new head style, and using the BODY of the ShowKaizer template as a base, made a "DaVinci Lite" template... Just throwing it out here... as it may become a resource. i didn't know if I should put it in the Art Gallery or here... but anyway... Let me know what you think...

Unfortunately, I DID have to make the female body approximately 5% smaller, so you may have to do some quick pixel editing to make any old ShowKaizer stuff fit the females... But, that should NOT be a problem... [/size]

I tried to emulate a few oil/pastel washes to get the flesh-tones right, while preserving the pixelization sharpness and details. I dunno... whatcha think?

(UPDATED October 8/2017, raised the ears a tiny bit on the facing down bits... and added females...)

Introduction

Just another bestiary crafted to be used with my main KUnits scripts. It includes curious transitions whenever you change the current page. There's some kind of ticker you can use to tell the player what buttons to press or just have fun by showing playful messages there.
