I'm really wanting to make an attempt at a game. Here are some screenies of the modified battlesystem that I'm using. RTAB + Animated Battlers + Formations. Depending on the amount of characters that you have in the party influences how the battle status HUD looks like. More streamlined rather than having empty space in a box. I was also trying to go for a Lufia type thing with the characterset being the battler in the front facing view. It's not perfect but it works as I like it.

Also, some maps. Mapping is something I've never been too great at so any suggestions would be great!
i would suggest using the circle tool to paint the water in. water is never square in nature. in the cave, there is a tile that doesn't have the ground under it for the curved walls. use that, and put the water right up to the edge. also, it's not that deep on the cave tileset, why not make it passable, and flag it as a bush? then you can walk through the water, and it'll be waist deep. on the hill map, the bridge is on an incline because of how the edge of the hill curves up and over. the one in the middle is taller than the other two. if you want to make it stick out more, don't curve them back in, and use the cliff corner tiles.

they're tiles that are half grass, have skeletons on them, or have the cliff corner piece. i redid the corner pieces, and took the sand out from under them so they're just corners on the tile.
:o that guy is giant... doesn't look like he'd fit through the door :P

You shoulda gone to China. You know, 'cause I hear they give away babies like free iPods. You know they pretty much just put them in those t-shirt guns and shoot them out at sporting events.
... And then the Prince Knelt Down and tried to put the Glass Slipper on Cinderella's Foot by Judith Viorst
I really didn't notice that he had a funny nose.
And he certainly looked better dressed up in fancy clothes.
He's not nearly as attractive as he seemed the other night.
So I think I'll just pretend that this glass slipper feels too tight.
The beauty of life is, while we cannot undo what is done,
we can see it, understand it, learn from it and change.
So that every new moment is spent not in regret, guilt, fear or anger,
but in wisdom, understanding and love.

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism. (Albert Einstein)
