Luckily no, I'm just a random guy that uploads an occasional video for friends to laugh it.

But I've done some research into the matter and monetization doesn't play that big of a role if copyright holder wants to be a real douchebag about their "intellectual property" being "stolen". Point and case Sega, who had people's accounts banned regardless of whether the video was monetized or not.

That's just a quick thing. Other game companies and record labels have done the same whether the video was making any money off it or not. I know someone who got his youtube account banned because some random band was doing a cover of a popular song in the background of his wedding video. That... just angers the hell out of me. Angry

Strangely, the first was still the more active and most recent.
Up is down, left is right and sideways is straight ahead. - Cord "Circle of Iron", 1978 (written by Bruce Lee and James Coburn... really...)

I always like these quote topics. They're good for a nostalgia boost years down the road.

Woohoo, I've set up the following...
  • Development library tools (on Mac).
  • Development library tools (on Linux).
  • ReGaL (Editor) source on external drive.
  • RGL (Ruby/C++) source on external drive.
...Now to set up Windows-side development library tools!

The idea behind this is I can (give or take) perform the same (or similar) editing, building and maintenance tasks between operating systems without having to "copy" or "sync" the source files between machines. Using a VM is also a possibility, but sometimes I just like to switch my environment altogether because I'm strange like that.

I'm trying my hardest not to hate C++ in the early learning stages, but it seems to hate me. Programming with Ruby feels like minor trial and error. Programming with C++ feels like a risky game of Jenga as I've ran into so many "got'cha!" situations. I wrote a C++ script last night that compiled and ran just fine, until I changed one line; then it gave me 30 errors.

The road to hell was paved with good intentions :3
