What's on your mind?
Sarcasm HDD Crashed and I can't get to the files on my desktop. Gonna lose a lot of work when I do a full on Factory Restore. *Grumble* Good thing I have backups of a lot of stuff. AND I have some recentness posted.

DerVV's lappy to the rescue.

@DerVVulfman : Oh man, that really sucks! Hopefully you didn't lose too much, I know you had quite a workload going on!

Of all the stupid things I've come across tonight, this TIME article takes the cake; automatically driven cars! Heck, they even start off the article title with LETS FIX IT. Let's take the silliest paragraph from the article...

Quote:The consensus opinion is that safe and reliable driverless cars will be available within a few years. Tesla just announced “Autopilot,” which will be available soon via a software update, and will allow for autonomous driving on freeways – an amazing first step.

It won't take long for a h4x0r to drive somebody's car into the river, possibly with them in it! Also, think of the legal process behind a drunk driver crashing his "Autopilot" car into an occupied bus stop; is it their fault, or the car's fault?! If Sony and Microsoft can't even keep their software safe from hackers, why should we trust Tesla motor company's software driven vehicles? I'm not sold.

In other news, it looks like we might have another Clinton and Bush running for the executive office next year. The other potentially running candidates don't seem much better, something tells me each one of them ate paint chips and snorted glue as children. Huffing paint and worshiping an owl seem to be the prerequisites to becoming president of the United States. We need to figure out a way to get these Zionist extremists and Koch suckers out of our political spectrum, they're ruining the country world.

Oh, and Kain is back on development duties! I need to get caught up on ReGaL progress as I have no clue where the project currently stands. I've also gone back to doing some graphics work for my project, it's probably been a year since I've laid a single pixel.

Dammit DerVVy, that sucks. :( Good luck getting some back. Have you tried a USB hard drive reader?

I don't think you can hack something if it's on a closed system.

Sucks to hear dervv. At least you have the spirit to have copies of most things.

Law here states the manufacturer is responsible since they were in control of the car.
I'm not sure traffic is a closed system. If an invasive signal told the sensor there was a car next to you where there wasn't, wouldn't it make an evasive maneuver and how can it tell whether something is more dangerous?

@Kain Nobel: You keep using that word "zionist", I don't think it means what you think it means...

Laughing + Tongue sticking out Quoth Ennio Montoya, Ahzoh?

Thanks guys! Current status: Workable.
I have 'a' copy of my favorite browser up, though I am currently downloading the newest (on dialup :P ). Antivirus running. And I sent word to enterbrain via rpgmakerweb's eMail since they and Degica are the guys to see about getting my replacement RPGMaker XP and VXs since I paid for them. Yeaah. I hate VX, but I did pay for it.

On my workfront... I have all my backups of the personal game that me and my sis are working on. Insofar as ReGaL, I have a November 2014 copy of Code and Graphics and the most current copy of the ReGaL Exe itself. :D I luv that the ReGaL Exe is all built-in. There's no RGSS104e.DLL to worry about. And my source code? Lycan? Well, the latest one on my saved copies was version 9.9. I only just upgraded to 10.2 in one shot. I just need to rip that off my uploads and I am good to go!

Sad I lost my copy of 'Lycan in the Moonlight' by Kainers.

EDIT: Oh, Forum Wise. Dinna worry about my passwords. That's what a NOTEBOOK was for. But.... I had all the copies of my forum graphics, smileys, shop items, plug-ins, and backups of all the Gazettes from 2011 to today on my HDD. Yuck, gonna have to snag those all over again.

I created a word for empire, ʾəmil, which is derived from the verb root ʾ-m-l "watch". Kinda fitting, eh?
