From what I gathered, it still uses RMVX's mapping system. Which I think sucks. I personally prefer the mapping techniques in RPGMaker XP. VX's mapping was made to be simplified for users No beginner/advanced options, eh?
However, it DOES let you use more tilesets... in a manner.
Like RPGMaker VX, you are limited to a predetermined TilesetA, TilesetB, TilesetC, and etc. But while RPGMaker VX has that as a limit to the number of tiles used for your game (which sucked), each individual map you create has their OWN set of TilesetA, TilesetB, TilesetC and etc. Apparently, it is a compromise. The tileset system is needed by the RMVXAce mapping system, but allowing each map to have their own set of tiles gives it RPGMaker XP's increased resource capacity.
No Actor Battlers still, eh? That means no actor/user battle animations. Didn't see one in the battlesystem screen anyway.
