The clue is I have TONS of events on my maps for collectable items and it would be a real pain to have a switch for all of them. (around 60-100 each map)
The problem with self switches is that I can control them only from the specific event.

So right now you just have to re-enter the map to let all items respawn which is...a little bit easy if you ask me.

EDIT: Nevermind, I've found a really nice little script which saves the map temporarily including all erased events until I use a reset-command. :)
